That is wonderful! Congratulations!

What a wonderful outcome for you. Give yourself a pat on the back for sticking with it, I am sure it was not easy at times:)

I have been debating since you first posted about the Whole 30 program and ordered the book this morning with a planned start date of June 13th. Tony is going to join me for the 30 days. I find it very interesting that the issues I have been experiencing mirror your almost exactly: interrupted sleep, sinus headaches, joint ache/swelling and a few others.

I am a bit worried about how restrictive the program is but I did 4 months with no carbs so I am hoping I can make it work. I figure I am giving up dairy but adding in some fruit so it should be a wash.

Good luck to anyone who decides to undertake the Whole 30 challenge. Remember - it is restrictive but it's only 30 days!

I would like to strongly note that I am not in any way promoting the Whole 30 challenge for anyone else - if you should choose to try it, I wish you luck. But I don't want to be seen as recommending it. I'm strictly relaying my experience with it as a matter of information and interest to those who were curious. And I took on the challenge as it was recommended by my endocrinologist as a way to re-start my body (so to speak) and see if different food groups were affecting me health-wise.

Shannon, have you found the wine re-introduction has gone well? And have you tried introducing anything else?

Thanks for sharing your experience, and I'm glad it had such a good effect on your symptoms and health.

I continue to find the Whole30 fascinating, though not to the point of actually doing it!!

Good for you! After much thought, I decided not to try that highly restrictive elimination diet prescribed by the naturopath. It's just too intense for me. Also, I already eat all of the things on the "include" list and very little of the things on the "avoid" list, and think my diet is healthy.
