Who What Wear can drive one crazy. Skinnies out, how to wear your skinnies, wide legs out, bootcut in, what to wear with your wide legs, ON and on -constantly contradicting themselves..who pays attention to this stuff!!!

Ha ha, I love Who What Wear precisely because there are so many pics on there for inspiration, showcasing a variety of styles. And it's precisely because they do contradict themselves! I think they're trying to cover all their bases. I read only the articles that interest me and leave the rest.

Who What Wear is a source of amusement (insert BIG eye roll) for me with their articles about what's "in" or "out" or horror of horrors, "dated." Their articles typically end up in my junk mail anyway. Angie said it perfectly.

I see them as the online version of Lucky magazine, if anyone remembers that. In other words, a glorified shopping site. Still, I do like looking at the some of the instagram pictures they feature and get a wide view of what's new without actually going to lots of shopping destinations.

I gave up at the beginning, because it was so hard to download their site. It was way bloated with what I assume was code and large-file pics back in the day. I just looked, and I see that’s been fixed... lol. It’s still too much for me tho. IG also make my head hurt

Like shevia I think of it as a kind of mix of an online magazine and a shopping site...i rather like it, its a nice way to pass some time during boring work meetings (1 good thing about WFH, you can multi task) or while waiting in line to get into Trader Joes/Whole Foods....but I don’t take it altogether to seriously because as always trying points out, they do tend to contradict themselves

Shevia, I do remember Lucky - as I recall, there was a forum conversation about the tone of the writing, which I think we described as "breathless adolescent."

I just peeked at the WhWhW site and I would say the Lucky comparison is apt.

SHEVIA nails it. Like Lucky on sugar rush. But I currently enjoy it mainly because I just want to see clothes. I like seeing shapes, colors.
All in one place. It's efficient for me in noodling around what I may want to try next or combine. Have zero interest in purchasing through them, though. And often react Oh Really? Sez You.

I check some of their things tgst come up on Pinterest. I agree with not actually following “ advice” but using pics if they help.
Quite like Pinterest and really, any other photos or sites, I have to decide whether I’m going to let the date bother me, or enjoy/ copycat something just be to like it.
For example, I’ll be looking at some outfit photos ( anywhere) and then see, oh, this was from 2014– really? This is what I’d like to wear right now!

I enjoy WhoWhatWear for the overviews of what's bubbling up. They have a large number of staff, who often contradict each other as to what is "in" or "out" so clearly, they're doing their own thing, too. The website is so clogged with advertising that it doesn't function very well, though.
