Who Takes Selfies at an Optical Store?

I do, because I need your help choosing frames and I can't see what I'm looking at!
Two of these are the same glasses from my other post (#1 and #2), I went back for a second look and took pics from closer up. #1 is red with a little pink detail on the upper temple. The fourth pair is a smaller sized purple pair. Between #1 and #4, both my friend and a woman in the store liked the larger red pair (#1) better. The two-toned blue pair was at a different store.

What say you?

I like #4 best. (Are they the same color as #1? Hard to tell from the lighting.) They just seem to suit your bone structure and light up your face more than the others. I know -- now everyone is telling you something different! We'll see what other wiser YLFers say.

I don't have Angie's expert eye, but #1 appears a bit wider and large for your face -- I'm looking for your eyes right in the center of the frames. I like #4 best. Do they come in a cool color, too?

Both 1 and 4 will. 1 has more funk to it. Is that what you are looking for?

I like 4 too, but I wonder what you would look like in a lighter colour or weight frame? A pop of colour?

I like 4 and 2 best, in that order. I love the shape of 4. 1 seems a little large to me, but not overly so, if you want a statement frame. Any of these could work, Karie, depending on the feel you want. I would say 4 is the safest choice--a frame that will blend with a lot of looks. 2 is a little more of a statement, and 1 is the most dramatic of them, in my view. (But again, not overly dramatic--I mean, none of these are shouting, "Hey, look at my glasses!")I like the lightness of the white trim on the blue frames (2).

Thanks everyone! Firecracker and Deb, I like things that are a little funky and fun, definitely statements; however, I don't want the frames to overwhelm me.

Dimity and Gauche, these frames are a deep purple, but definitely purple and not black. I don't know if these come in other colors. What always surprises me is that with my pale complexion I would think lighter colors would look better, but they don't, their darker counterparts always do.

Beth Ann, my concern with #1 is that as much as I like them (and they were the favorite of both my friend and the woman in the store) they might be too large for my face.

I think #1 is too big and uncentred, as Beth Ann said. Keep hunting! Keep snapping pics!

Beth Ann and Suz, my concern is that #1 might be a tad too big, but I'm not sure. I do like #4 and the purple color.

I like the shape of #4 and the color of #1 so I'm not much help. #1 seems a bit large for your face - if you like it, you might ask if they could order it in a smaller size.

Elle, #1 doesn't come in a smaller size, unfortunately. Elle and tr3, I do like the shape of #4. It does come in other colors. It comes in both cobalt and red (I'm wearing plum) and the store ordered both for me to try.

Angie, #2 is a strong contender. I would prefer the shape of #1 in the size of #4 with the colors of #2!

Sizing makes a big difference. #4 is 49 mm, #1 is 53 mm, and #2 was either 50 or 52 mm.

I'm voting for #4. And I like the plum but looking forward to seeing the other colors.

I like 4 best, because it distracts the least from your face. The frame in 2 is an interesting idea, but the size and shape overpowers you a little, and I like to be looking more at the person than their glasses.

#1 - too large of a lens that "droops" too far down onto your cheek.
#2 - love the lightness in color, the two-tone makes them more interesting and the shape of the frames are modern looking
#4 - too dark of a color

I really like 2 and 4! I wish the color was softer on 4. But they're both nice on you. I think I prefer 4 just a bit...it has a slight retro flare to it. But otherwise, both are nice!

I like the blue - gorgeous with your coloring. I also like the last one in shape but I feel the dark color is a bit heavy for you.
