Somebody posted about My Slip is Showing—slips designed to be seen, just a bit, when Angie was looking for help altering a dress. I recall beautiful & playful looks. Unfortunately, when I went to their site on my phone recently, it was a mess. Hard to navigate, very few pictures and they didn’t load properly. Unfortunate, because it sounded like a cool idea.
I have a full slip, rarely wear dresses that call for it. Most of my midi-length skirts & dresses are lined. It is silk, with a full, midi length skirt. I also have a short mesh full slip from Intimissimi that’s much newer and easy to wear. Only one of my dresses that length is lined. I’m not comfortable wearing it as loungewear around my son, but would do so otherwise. Finally, I have an above-the-knee half slip from the 90s that I plan to wear with my short skirts & tights next winter. It’s nothing great—satiny polyester—but it should be helpful, I think.
