So, I watched the episode, and I agree: some great talent out there. No spoilers here, but I will say that I agreed with the win and with the one who got the boot. This is the only reality show I watch (besides the Great British Baking Show, which by the way is AMAZING if you like to cook or eat or like anything British) -- and occasionally the drama on Runway can get to be way too much for me. This season there will be drama; the seeds of it have definitely been sewn. But I love watching the incredible work some designers can do under pressure -- what they can come up with, and what they can put together. And it's so interesting, too, to hear Zac Posen's point of view about the designs (I prefer him to Michael Kors although I do miss MK). I don't always agree with the judges but I find the show to be pretty addictive.
I wish I knew what happened to some past winners and contestants whose work I really admired. There have been items from this show that are just seared on my memory -- like Jay MacCarrol's Chrysler building dress.
If you're a fan of the show and have watched past seasons, you might enjoy this article which highlights the "best" designs of the past. It's amazing to see what some of these designers created for this show. (For me, this is really a show about design more than it is a typical reality show, and this images in this article prove it.)
