Angie, that sounds glorious! As Lyn D said it's winter here and very cold where I am. 30 degrees is pretty comfortable for warm weather and I quite enjoy that. Our heatwaves would consist of days 40 plus which tends to be very unpleasant

Southern Ontario is alternating rainy weeks with sunny weeks, and I believe normal temps for this time of year. Where I live is greatly affected by the lake (Lake Ontario) so a hot humid day can end with a cool evening.

I had the day off and spent most of it in the garden - sunny, and it could have been hot, but there was a good breeze. I wore cut-off jeans, a white tank with light weight hoody over (to cover arms), Coppertone Sport SPF 30, and my navy and cream hat - plus matching red garden gloves!

Deadheaded the peonies, but salvaged a few late blooms, for a bouquet with roses from a bush that seems to want to take over the house. I don't know the name (it came with the house ) but I call it 'The Sleeping Beauty Rose'.

So happy for you! It is about the same temperature here now - but we don't consider that a heatwave but pleasant summer weather. Heatwave starts around 38! In this weather I am comfortable wearing long, lightweight jeans and closed shoes similar to your Holts. Oh just saw Deborah's comment and I second it!

Yes, not what we would call a heatwave, especially since your night termperatures drop, but on the cusp between "high summer" and "pleasant summer" in my personal categorization!

We aren't as cold as Deb and Lyn D in my part of Australia as it is tending towards overcast, (it has been colder recently). Around 13-20.

I am sitting here in my office desk wearing a coat though!

I would love that! We had a bit of a heat wave here up to the 80s but now it's back to the usual low 60s and bleh.

You are so lucky not having the humidity in Seattle Angie. We have just had a mini heat wave and as per usual in the UK, we had a lot of humidity. Typically over here our summers consist of two hot days followed by a thunderstorm! I think probably, Tuesday and Wednesday 'was' our summer for this year
I can usually handle the heat, though I struggle if it's humid.

VERY hot here (by UK standards) for the past week, and quite humid on several days. Luckily, I live fairly near the coast, so there's usually a nice cooling breeze to compensate.

It will probably be 35 today and for most of the weekend - that is UNHEARD of for Seattle. And the heat is not letting up. 3 months of this type of heat is my dream Summer weather. My dream is coming true.

DonnaF, I am very sorry to hear about your Mum. My heartfelt condolences and wishing you strength. Much love to you.

Summer and Diane, I couldn't believe how muggy the UK is. It's so much crisper - and hotter - in Seattle.

Anne, Jaime, Maneera and Debs, YES. Your Summer temperatures are hectic. Seattleites would hate it - except for me.

HAH, Shedev. Usually, that would be me in Summer.

JAileen, your doggie is clever.

Crutcher, Windchime and others, I'm glad that your Summers are milder than usual. Enjoy.

Una, Peggy and Robin, enjoy the heat. Time to buy proper Summer clothes it seems.

Runcarla, you have great green thumbs.

Glorious sunshine today with a high around 80F. It's been very wet and coolish here. 45F when I got up this morning at 0500.

What's been different for us is humidity. Usually runs around 40%, due to daily rain, it's been v high for us, even got to 91% a few days ago.

I'm at 6000 ft elevation BTW.

I do best with Spring and Fall temps.

DonnaF, so sorry to read about the passing of your mother. Mine passed very suddenly in March and I'm still having emotional lows at times.

It's been 70s-80s in the afternoon in the ol' microclime. I dress for winter in the morning, spring or summer during the day, and for fall in the evening. It's a pain in the p-tootie. The worst thing that happens is I walk two blocks and then hit another microclime and find I'm dressed completely wrong! 8o (googly eyes)

Summer is my favorite season - so, I love this kind of weather! We haven't really had what could be called a heat wave - but just lots of perfect weather - mid 70's to low 80's. Absolutely loving it!

We are having seasonal heat and high humidity with highs mostly around 30'sC/ 90sF and lots of humidity. If it follows the usual pattern, In a week it will be high 90s-100s and start to get dry with hot dry winds that do not cool. Nights here do not cool off much. In recent years individual homes and businesses have cut back on over air conditioning. It is just too hot to try to attempt much. From spring rains, mosquitos and other creepy crawlers are rampant. Not my favorite time of year.
