Who can I pay to go to an H&M and pick up some stuff :)

I'm kidding but oh my, I wish I could my hands on so many things right now. A nude colored dress, some cardigans, some of those floral dresses they have and even some purses. those of you who are close to one please go so I can live vicariously through you.

Does anyone know how to get H&M merchandise if you don't live anywhere near one?

You can check ebay! I don't have one real close, but I get there sometimes.

I was thinking I should do that. My ebay searches are not very good though? I go in and in the search box if I type in 'H&M' it seems more often than not it comes back 'results not found'. Hm...I'll dig around some tonight. Someone could make some money selling H&M on ebay. (the current stuff)

Marianne, maybe you should seriously look into starting something like that. Or at least I forwarding service. I know I pay to use one and am sure there are many others that do too!!

Manhattan houses 10 H&M's, 2 of which are within spitting distance of each other in Soho. I can't remember the last time I worked somewhere that wasn't within walking distance of an H&M. My last job near Penn Station was four blocks away. My internship at the Met is near the one on 86th street, and my other internship is near the both of the Soho locations. Even when I was in school, I was near the one on 5th ave. It's very dangerous, actually. I am definitely very dependent on H&M. I would not have a functioning wardrobe without it.

I still haven't visited one, but all this talk is making me consider taking a little drive. A 53 mile drive, to be exact, to a store that opened here a little while ago.

Not a bad business idea, either! Last month a friend of mine wanted a cookie cutter set from Williams Sonoma that was sold out online and in her area, so I bought it and sent it to her. If the store had had more of them, I would have bought them up, because they were going for much more on ebay!

Tam and NK, I've thought about starting a business like that because I have so much free time right now (and I love shopping!) but I wouldn't know how to start it or go about it. But I'll extend the offer to YLFers -- if you use a forwarding service, I'll do it for you cheaper.
