Hooray for perfect white pants! I can't imagine your thighs looking large, by the way.
I was thinking this morning as I was drying my new white pants, that they are truly some of the only skinny jeans that are actually snug around my calves. I have 21" thighs but only 12 1/4" calves. Try making that look balanced in a jean!

Your thighs are perfectly fine! Mine are, uh, well, sigh...at least they're strong. Suffice to say that half marathons and 40-mile bike rides do great things for my body, but they sure don't help the size of my legs.

Thanks, Mo. My thighs are the same size as yours, but I have that low hip bone thing Tanya was talking about a couple weeks ago. I swear sometimes all I see is thigh.

Janet, hooray for you being in such awesome shape! Strong thighs are gorgeous. I wouldn't mind them being a little bigger if they had some great definition.

I laughed out loud at the subject heading. That is what I was convinced white pants made my thighs do, too! I seem to have grown used to it a little bit -- part of it was just the shock of the white, I think -- but isn't that the strangest optical illusion?

Your thighs would look good in any pants, by the way.

Aquamarine, it's too bad we tend to be more critical of ourselves than others are. I don't know why I let my thighs do that to me, but there you have it.

Suz, maybe it's the years of programming that black is slimming and white is widening. Not sure, but my hesitation with white pants is just ingrained in my brain. I had to return the BR cream jeans because they didn't look nearly as good on me as they did on you and others.

These are truly lovely trousers, great fit and I just love your black and white outfits. I am also looking for the perfect pair.......but as well as adding inches I don't need on my thighs they usually shorten my already short legs

The slacks look really classy and beautiful on you – another great pair! I'm an IT and do notice "thigh explosion" with white or cream jeans... This summer I bought the perfect pair of optic white Columnist boot cuts from Express that, alas, I didn't get to wear yet (I was saving them for I-don't-know-what), now I need to wait for warmer weather.

Thanks, Denise. You're right. It really does happen with any light color. It's like the missing half of my wardrobe. Now that I know it's possible with the right cut, I'll look forward to finding some cream, tan, and possibly some pastels, for this Spring.

Debra, I hear you on leg shortening problems! I have the same issue. I used to outwit it by wearing bootleg pants with heels, but I've been moving away from heels to keep my feet and back from screaming.

Good for for you, holding out the perfect item. And although I do not see the flaws in your figure that you do, I understand. We all have our pain points when it comes to our own bodies. What is most important is how you feel in your clothes. I'm just thrilled that you feel fab in these.

These pants are fab. Great for and cut for you. I have struggled with white pants too and now have two pairs that work a treat for me:). Now about that black and white coat...I think you need to send it to me lol....it's stunning.

Thanks, Deborah. So glad you found your perfect white pants too. The long black and white coat is a For Joseph. I've had it for 15 years. It was a favorite for 8-10 years, but I wasn't really loving it the past few years. I'm really liking it again, so it's coming out of hibernation.

Rae, my thighs can look huge in the wrong cuts. I ordered my regular size for WHBM. I do find that I wear a size larger at WHBM than other stores.

White pants are really tricky
but when you find a great pair
they are a classy fashion statement.
Remember to wear nude undies not black or white ones

Oh those look absolutely perfect! Do you know how lucky you are? Even as an IT I see thigh explosion but I know I can "afford" it. Your tan jacket looks so much like the one I'm sending! I hope it works.
