i have been wearing these jeans quite a bit this spring but not sure if am completely satisfied with the style. Do they look dated? I think I am so used to seeing skinnies and straight pants that this silhouette is starting to look a little bit old. What do you gals think?

I think they silhouette still looks fine. I love how you have the pants styled!

Do you wear pointy toe shoes? I like these and think you can play up the trouser jean feel of them and modernize them a lot by wearing them with pointy toes. As is, they look lovely. They aren't quite as modern as your tops (especially the jaw-droppingly beautiful one on you in #2--you glow!), but they aren't dated.

I love them on you, Mona. It just sounds as if you also need a pair of skinnies or straights in white! They look fantastic and make a nice change from those silhouettes. I adore both of these outfits. You look amazing in the gold top!!

Love them with the gold top. Classic straight leg silhouette in my opinion. Need a side view to see the shoes better.

My new white jeans, while technically called a straight leg, have much the same silhouette. I've decided I like the easy look of them. A pair of cropped skinnies might be a nice addition for summer, if you like more variety.

Definitely not dated.

Thanks ladies! Now I will wear them with much more confidence. I would love to buy white skinnies but looking at my budget, I will hold off on that this summer.

Could you tell me what brand they are? I have a friend who is looking hard for white bootcut.

So obviously we don't think dated! I prefer bootcut myself...don't like skinnies.

I'm echoing the pointy shoe idea from K can shop. Love those jeans!

I know when I start feeling dissatisfied with a silhouette there is no going back. For me it was tall boots over skinnies that fell from grace over the oh-so-long winter. Trust the voice in your head but know that while you are working out what to do with these jeans, we all think they are great!

But... I know how you FEEL about them because that's how I feel about my boot cuts too. I'm keeping them but I am definitely looking for a change of style.

I understand what you mean, because flared or boot cut or straight legs have been around seemingly forever. But they are still current in my view, and you are wearing them beautifully. I love both of these tops with them; you look gorgeous in the greens and in the metallic tone. You could try metallic shoes with the jeans for a change of look, too.

I agree; you look gorgeous in the gold. I also agree the jeans look cute on you. Just a thought for you...you might check with a tailor to see if you can have the legs tapered to either a baby bell or straight leg. You might feel like you have a new pair of jeans with a smaller expense.
