Angie - thanks for the positive endorsement on my new purchases. I'm really finding your rule of PPP pays off in the end, even if it IS frustrating at times - lol! I also really want to thank you (again!) for pushing us to buy for the body we have. Everyone knows I'm on a weight loss journey but you never know how quickly it will happen or what your final destination will be. So I decided that buying a quality trench now was still a sound purchase - and if it doesn't fit me next spring, so be it. I want to FEEL GOOD NOW!!!

I didn't know VC and BCBG made Jessica's line - interesting. She has a ton of cute tops for spring in gorgeous citron and orange colours.

Thanks Jeanne!

mtgirl - I saw the Canyon River white jeans on the website. I wish they had them in the store to try on. You say they were thick denim? I do like the fit. Maybe this could be a second pair of white jeans for me - they do have a different fit and vibe than the JS ones. Thanks!

Shannon, the pleasure is mine. You're just an outstanding style role model. Your attitude is sublime. Thank YOU.

I love the trench and the jeans. I need to give Jessica Simpsons things a better look. She does have some cute sandals.

Two great purchases! Glad you found your PPP white jeans and trench... bring on spring!

ETA: I have never hesitated to buy another great fitting white jean at a fair price (I have 3 pr now!) since they seem like one ketchup mishap from disaster and I'd hate to be without a pair whilst shopping for a replacement.

The jeans look like a fantastic fit, perfect for spring/summer! And the coat is fabulous, great shape on you. I love a navy coat! If I could pick only one coat to have it would definitely be navy. Great choice.

These jeans were made out 98% cotton and 2% spandex so different than the jeans you have. I believe your slouchy skinnies have polyester in them (I tried them a while ago, but can't always wear polyester on my sensitive skin).

I tried the white jeans on really really quick yesterday. They didn't have my size and the size I did try on didn't look good at all...didn't look slouchy just looked ill fitting. I wish I could have tried on a size smaller to compare.

These were labeled classic skinny white jeans. They also had another pair that was labeled skinny jeans, but I'm not sure if they were thick or not. I just realized I didn't check to see if you could see the pockets through the fabric.

Hope that helps a bit - sorry I don't have more info.

I love both purchases on you. Congrats!

What store do you get the JS jeans at? Just wondering where I might find them in Halifax. I'm on a mission, have about 8 pairs on order right now, trying to find the perfect pair.

Great finds, Shannon - Iove the trench in navy especially.

I am just all smiles imagining all the trying and rejecting and the pile of clothes left behind! But the result is so worth it, especially hearing how confident and happy you are in YOUR choice. More inspiration!
