It's nearly winter in the northern hemisphere, yet many of us are keeping an eye out for the elusive Perfect White Jean.

What makes your ideal white jeans perfect for you, and what brands have you tried so far?

Me, I need them opaque, zero pocket show-through. Heavy high-cotton denim with a bit of stretch. No bling. Low-rise, boot- or straight-cut, plenty long. Manufactured with ethical labor, trade and environmental practices.

I have white jeans from CABI, AT, and Boston Proper. I like them all, but I had to have the front pockets cut and sewn shut on all of them. No bling on any of them, and all low rise.

I want skinny or straight and thick enough to not feel exposed. I want a rise of 8" which isn't as easy to find as I thought.
I did find a deal of a century at Amazon if anyone is size 29, 30 or 31. At $8.50 it just might be worth checking out. I have the Vigoss brand in my destructed BF blue jean but never tried the white. http://www.amazon.com/Vigoss-J.....pd_sim_a_6

Wow, the price drop between 28 and 29 is enough to tempt one to eat another piece of pumpkin pie...
I really enjoy all the white jeans looks on ylf, and I did buy and enjoy a white denim jacket for last spring/summer. But I don't see white jeans for myself, at least not this fall/winter. Maybe next spring.

I like my Diana Kut from the Kloth skinnies. They are not a calf-sucking skinny. The fabric is thick with only a small amount of stretch. On me, they begin from the wash quite snug, but they ease up considerably with wear. I don't consider this a negative with a white jean. They can also be rolled up at the cuff, BF style. I can't really wear them a whole lot in our short hot summer or in our winter months (too impractical) but I do wear them a lot between April - end of June, and then again from August - end of November.

Can I join the search party? I would wear them in winter too (after all I do wear my cram trousers all winter long).
Suz, I liked Kuts but unfortunately they did not work for me: their rise is too high. Actually this is my biggest problem with jeans - I need a long inseam (34-35) but not a long rise. Paige jeans would be ideal for me but I need to size up to size 33 in them and I never saw Paige white jeans in size 33.

No, I have not. Just looked now - they go up to size 32 as well I really need 33 in white jeans or they are indecently snug :-((((

I have had good luck w/ Kut From the Kloth and Jag. Both have the 33" inseam I need.

I must have tried on over 20 pairs of white jeans and finally bought the Diana Kut from the Kloth skinnies. If I remember correctly, Angie recommended them. On me they are not really skinnies, but more like slim boyfriends. I like that about them because they are not too tight to wear in the summer. They do stretch out a bit, but that works for me. I liked them so much that I bought a second pair on sale.

Then I tried the exact same brand, model and size in blue, and they didn't work at all. I guess I will never understand sizing!

I wear white jeans a lot. At least twice a week year round. I love Winterizing my white jeans. I have straight legs, skinnies and BFs. I love them all, and want another pair of white BF jeans. I vote AG and KUT as my faves. If I can find my True Religion Camerons in white without all the distressing, I'd have those too.

I have 4 pairs of white jeans.
1. From Chico's, ankle zip slim leg. They are not heavy so I reserve them for summer
2. Calvin Klein slim boyfriend. They are also a lighter weight so they are for summer only too.
3. Pull on slim leg from Soft Surroundings. They don't fit as tightly as leggings and they are heavier fabric so they work well for winter. I only wear them with tops out of course!
4. Straight leg from Chico's. Also heavier weight so they are my second option for winter.

Catnip - that is so interesting. I had debated trying the Dianas in blue as well...but worried for exactly the reason you mention!

Sveta, I have a pretty long rise, so the KUTs work fine for me. They are actually on the low side on me if you can believe it!

Mo, some of Second Denim's mid-rise jeans list a 8 1/4" rise. I haven't tried any of their whites, but like what I know of their ethics.

Suz, I don't see any highjacking. This isn't about *my* white jeans, it's about getting *everybody* (who wants to) into their personal-perfect white jeans. Go Team White Jeans All the Time Everywhere!

Who was it who cut out the hip pockets and sewed them shut? That might change the way I look at white jeans when trying them on. Or not. Long ago, had a pair of men's non-stretch white heavy denim jeans that were generous on me. (BF jeans before that was a thing?) They were so comfortable, surprisingly easy to clean, worry-free. Probably not the most flattering option, but I felt great in them. Maybe I want useable pockets.

I love my white Kut Catherine bfs. (And I have the same in blue, sized totally differently.)

I wonder why I can't get my mind around wearing them after Summer goes away. I'm willing to change. And I like the looks others come up with. But I can't do it.

I have a pair of white KUT Catherine's that I really like, but they are a tad too short to wear unrolled in the winter. I also have a pair of J.Crew Matchsticks in long length. They're a tad thinner than the Catherine's but are not see-through thin, and they're not/don't look like a summer weight jean. I do wear Cuddl Duds under them this time of year to keep warm.

Any happy updates to this thread? I got the T.R. slim BF Brianna's and they are not so slim. But I might keep them as my casual, roll up, hot weather FL white jeans if I can also find a slim pair I can fit inside tall boots and wear a chunky sweater over.
Last night I ordered yet 2 more options. Lucky http://www.6pm.com/lucky-brand.....alps-white and one I'd never heard of but am giving a go because of the rise http://www.6pm.com/big-star-al.....nca-blanca. Hope one of them works out.

I've put on some weight and need a pair of non-tight jeans or chinos (non-khaki!) or *something* comfortable, so I'll swing by the mall after a meeting this afternoon. White would be cheery, if I can find jeans thick enough to be opaque or big enough to fit over pale thermals. Am even willing to go with the bf look, even if it's not "flattering."

I have Kut Catherine BF's, Gap Long and Lean, and some from BR... none of which are thin enough to cause front pocket issues. I don't think the Gap or BR are available at this time of year.

Angie, I'd LOVE to see more of your winter styling ideas! To keep them "seasonably appropriate". I did wear white jeans a week ago to a party, but I think that will be it for me until the snow has gone. Unless I get more motivation

I also have the Kut Diana skinnies. Actually, I have 2 pairs: after loving them all summer, I went back the next season and bought a backup pair. They're thick enough, fitted enough without being too skinny, and the rise for me is perfect.

I tried the Kut BF's in blue at the Rack a year or two ago and had serious flat butt syndrome. They were awful. But so many of you mention them . . .

I have white jeans on my spring shopping list. I own a pair of Joe's jeans that fit well for my pear shape and are not too sheer, but they are bootcut and I would really like to add a straight leg pair for tucking into tall boots in winter.
