White jeans adventure & thank you, Angie.

I’ve been looking for white jeans for at least a year. Tried on so many and was about to give up on it. And then Angie posted her altered white jeans! Although I got my jeans hemmed and taken in at the waist before, it never occurred to me that more can be done. So, I bought a pair that fits close to how I would like it to fit and took it to my tailor.
I bought jeans from Zara, my first pair from them. 100% cotton and OK quality. I had them altered in the hips, seat area. They are JFE but it’s an important lesson - jeans can be successfully tailored. Thank you, Angie, for teaching me.
White jeans go with almost everything is my wardrobe, it’s so easy to style. I’m showing you some outfits I came up with today. Do you like any?

I find my cream jeans are not as versatile as the white ones. Versatile, hypothetically speaking.I had a pair of white jeans years ago and loved them. But a lot changed since then, so I hope I will wear them enough.

Fabulous every which way but if I have to pick favorites it will be #1, #4 and #5. I think paying less for jeans and more for tailoring makes a lot of sense (talking to myself).

I love the ink COS sweater in #1 but it’s difficult to take good pictures of an oversized clothes. Here is my silly attempt to show the shape of the sweater. It has also interesting rounded back I couldn’t twist myself enough for a photo

Great jeans. I like all your stylings with both oversized sweaters and more fitting tops. What a versatile workhorse you have. I have never considered altering trousers apart from hems and perhaps the waist. How did you know how to alter them?

My one of the first lessons taken by heart here on YLF about 10 (or more) yrs ago was the WHITE JEANS! Since then, I JUST COULDN'T LIVE without them anymore!! In fact are the only jeans I really like to wear. Mines were really never all that perfect (max. minor alterings as you said-say the waist or the length) but yours here-with complex altering are looking soooo gorgeous (Angie's, too) and giving me new hope. Will keep these complex alterings in my mind. Maybe is not that hard to do...

Sally, Almost all dress pants off the rack that fit me in the waist, are too big in the hips and seat and have to be altered. While my tailor does it often for my dress pants, I never thought to ask her about jeans, assuming it would be too complicated.

My favorite outfits are 2, 3 and 6, but they all look great on you.

Interesting Irina. I too have small hips and bottom and often feel pants (apart from stretch jeans ) make my bottom look flat. Maybe its really just a problem that could be fixed with altering.

I truly love all these outfits, except #5 not so much. White jeans are so versatile. I am also enjoying a pair that had been languishing unworn in my wardrobe and I recently gave them a chop, ie. raw hems done by me, and now I love them.
