I had a weird and wonderful thrifting experience today - I was taking two bags of my son's outgrown stuff to my local Value Village to donate. When getting out of my car the lady in the car beside me was pulling out a bag of stuff from her trunk when an item started to fall out of the bag. She grabbed it and I noticed it was a white denim jacket. I commented "oh, that's what I'd love to find" and laughed while grabbing my bags out of the trunk. She then says to me "here, it's yours. No point paying for it if you don't have to. In fact, I don't really want to go in so why don't you just take this bag and then I can go". She kind of thrust the bag at me and literally hopped in her car and drove away. I put my son's two bags into the donate bin and came home.

I think the white denim jacket is perfect and a far better fit than my previous attempt. It fits much better in the shoulders and back, is a good length and I really like the vertical seam details in the front. Let me know what you think of the fit.

The other item that was in the bag is this green safari type vest, which I love and it immediately made me think of Rae. It's a tiny bit tight (I can do it up but it isn't pretty!) but I think it's ok and I can see it with my denim skirt, over a dress, over a white tee, etc. What do you think? Keep or donate?

So here's two new items for your perusal and I didn't spend a cent!
