Siniestra, it's true that white clothing, to look good, has to be of better quality (which means more $$$) both in fabric and in cut. I have learned it the hard way through the years. Too thin and it is see through. Poorly cut and the visual result is an eye sore. I have thrown away so many cheap white pieces! I don't know what to tell you because I've never been able to find satisfactory cheap white items, although they abound in slightly higher price ranges. My strategy has been to first identify which pieces I needed most, save up for this piece and shop carefully.
For me, the key pieces have been: white skinnies, white purses, white glasses and a white watch. The two last items were not cheap, let me tell you, but oh so useful every day. I think the CPW for them really gets down to a few specks of dusts of a cent.
But on my list still are: white jacket, cute white tee, and white booties. Hmmm.... feeling a bit of Angie's influence here.
