Who knew it would be so hard to find such a relatively simple item. Almost all the ones are cream, or cloud, or some version of off white. Or they have crazy backs/straps that mean a special bra or no bra. This is turning out to be my summer HEWI I guess.

I've been looking for a drapey, dressy white top, too Mo. Sigh. I'm wearing black today, because I've been unsuccessful. And I've tried. Lawd knows I've tried.

Let me know if you spot something promising............ For now, I'll have to make do with other colors and Hanes men's tees.

Will do. I've found a few with spaghetti straps, but would prefer an actual tank.
Oh, and I don't want to spend over $100 on a white summer top, but am afraid the only ones I've seen that come close are just that! yikes. http://www.intermixonline.com/.....99&ut sigh.

Who would've thought that would be a HEWI? I suppose white is a tough color, though. Trying to get it opaque but still summer friendly

Good grief. I guess the upside is that when you do find one, it won't look like what everyone else is wearing!

ETA: It's this one: http://shop.mango.com/US/p0/wo.....3083510_02 They're calling it "off white" but honestly, it's not cream or ivory. I just put it on a white chair and it looks white to me.

Nice, April! I'm looking for more of a swing if possible. I have a red drape like that, and am trying my best to not duplicate much in my closet these days.
And why call it off white if it's white?! Argh. I had some 'cream' items come that were downright yellow. Frustrating.

That one from Nordstrom is so pretty and it seems like everything listed as Cloud is showing as pure white but who knows. At least they have free returns if it isn't.

A little, Pil, but thanks. I am giving this a go for now http://www.hm.com/us/product/2.....ariant=034. It caught my eye last weekend, but might be too swingy. We'll see. They didn't have my size in store so the bigger size may have thrown off the proportions.
BF is having me order 3 more (!) linen shirts for him and another pair of the linen pants, so I figured I'd try the top in with the batch. BF rightly exclaimed, "this will be my summer uniform."
