White cami under white button down

Hi all!
I just tried on a couple crisp white button downs at BR with a white cami underneath. I found the line of the cami distracting. Does anyone have a solution? Angie has suggested in previous posts to wear a white cami under a white blouse. But not sure what to do about seeing the outline of it through the shirt. Thanks for your input!

Hmmm. I think a white cami under a white shirt looks good if the cami is going to show at all. Maybe it's something your eye has not adjusted to. If the cami is not going to show you could do a beige cami.

Maybe try wearing a nude-to-you cami underneath? (Same reasoning as wearing a nude bra under white, as opposed to a white bra.)

Personally, I love the lines - and the effect of the "whiter white" when you layer a white cami under a white shirt. Super clean and crisp.

You'll find the lines disappear when you wear a nude-for-you camisole - so what Sam said. The white of the shirt is not as bright, but you shan't have the lines.

I see. But does it matter if the cami is a V-neck like the shirt or a scoop neck?

I prefer a thicker shirt fabric that doesn't require a cami, for that very reason. It can be hard to find especially in the lighter colors. Failing that, I would try a nude to you camisole with a neckline that echoes the shirt neckline.

Madlove mom, I think you hit the nail on the head about the V-neck vs. scoop neck. I have found that if I am wearing a V-neck shirt, I like a V-neck cami, and the same goes with the scoop neck. Once I did that, I was good. :^)
