#3, by far. Either version of #3 is great. Crops are fine too, but with that print, don't you want to preserve as much of it as possible? It's just too cool for words.

I love #3 , the version on the left. And I love love love the pattern.

The pattern is wonderful, Aida! Gorgeous.

I'm not going to chime in on the length, since I have a serious aversion to anything in the "is that on purpose or not" realm of shorter inseams. Comes from a childhood filled with flood-pant hand-me-downs. You'll make it work.

Great pattern! I love them as slim skinnies, with the length as is. But I also like the vibe of the original version.

They're lovely. I also like them as is, but ignore me on that because my little brain can't get it's head around what lengths/widths are 'good'. I like no. 3 slim skinny best if you want to alter them.

LOVE these in the pics in #4 - shortened and tapered. Gorgeous and funky!

Love the look on you... but you knw what through your fotos i would never have pegged you as petite...

I like version #4 best, with the trousers hitting you at the widest part of the lower leg. What a great fit in these trousers, and a fun pattern on them, nice find!

I think you may need to wear the trousers as is a couple of times to get the look out of your system before tapering the trousers to be more flattering. I went through this process with my purple cropped jeans last fall before lopping six inches off of the hems. Two looks for the price of one!

I have a pencil skirt with a very similar pattern. I had to go check, because at first I thought it was exactly the same fabric!

I agree with Julie (RoseandJoan) that you need to wear them out and about like they are for a few times since part of you likes that look. Maybe with some chunky bright socks and loafers?

I like the lengthoff 3 best, but 4 is nice too. Somehow, I think the longer crop length of 3 is more slimming and chic, than the Capri-ish length of 4. Love the pattern, seems like you'll have fun styling these.

Both tapered versions looks good to me and the print is really great! Honestly I'm not a fan of #1.

What a great pattern! I find myself loving the #3 version!

Probably no surprise - but I love the original length. Super nerdy is the BEST! My 2nd choice would be the slim skinny. Whatever you do - do NOT chop them off as in number 4!

Also, I LOVE your hair! I really have been missing some important stuff on YLF lately! How long have you had it this short and do you like it? I think its beautiful!

Ladies, thank you so much for all of this wonderful feedback! Very helpful. A larger number than I expected likes the length as-is, such a surprise! LOTS of taper votes with a few crop votes; of the tapering votes, most people said either is fine, and those who specified much preferred the slim skinny over the super skinny.

I think R&J is onto something with the idea of wearing them a few times as-is and THEN taper them. Since the wider hem makes them hard to style, I definitely don't want to NOT reach for them as much as I would otherwise. I think I will keep my eyes peeled for a more inexpensive plaid pant to play with this silhouette, and try these a few times as-is before getting them tapered; they may not make it out of the house that way, of course

I also really like the longer crop length in #4 (left one), but agree with others that it'd be a shame to loose so much of the print. So I think I'll keep my eyes open during the end-of-season sales for a fun, inexpensive pair which I can chop up to that length!

Oh! And Marley, so good to see you!! How have you been? I JUST cut my hair a few days ago, actually. Photos here, and thank you

You hair looks great Aida (didn't get to comment on your hair thread). I like the way it's looking great even a while *after* salon magic has taken place. That's the sign of the right cut for you!

As for the pants, if you're still taking votes, I don't think they look so bad at the original length! But I do prefer them tapered as in pic #3 (either mildly or highly tapered). I wonder, why bother with tapering them slightly though (then just keep them the same). If you taper them, go all the way into Audrey taper territory. Anyway, that's my logic.

Slim skinny #3 is so cute!

I love these pants and, like a few of the others, who want you to break a few rules (Angie, look away), I, too, prefer them "as is." Leave it to our amazing Rae to find the Korean manpants link, whose photos I adore. Having said all this, ANY LENGTH will work for you, because these pants are so many levels of amazing! ETA: Your hair looks so fantastic in these photos and I love all the different lengths.
