Which would you pick?

I am plus sized and a mommy of three kids. I am looking for a new bathing suit and trying to decide between a one piece and a tankini. I want something that hides my stretchmarks and skin but I still want to be a stylish mom! Which one would you choose? I'm debating on one of these four and can't go try them on first to see as they are online.

All of these look very pretty! I do like the look of #2 the best but I am more of a stripes girl than a flowers girl so take that for what it is worth.

Swimsuits can be sooooo tough to fit. Any chance you can order more than one of these and return those that don't work? Though I like the look of #2 the best, I have a very long torso and find one pieces very tough to fit. Have to size up to get enough length and then it doesn't fit anywhere else. From a fit stand point maybe one of the tankinis would be easier?

I like the looks of all you've shown. I have a suit like #1 - a tankini with a skirt. I have a long torso so the fit is more forgiving, and as a pear, I like the skirt. I also have board shorts style bottom. For walking around I like the skirted bottom, but for actual swimming I prefer the board shorts.

When we were planning a trip to Hawaii, I bought a bunch of pieces from Lands End - a few tops, bottoms, and cover ups. I tried it all on and kept one tankini top, a skirted bottom, board shorts, a rash guard, and a cover up. Then I forgot to pack the cover up!

It depends on your shape I think. An hourglass with evenly distributed weight could pull off all 4. #1 would work well on a pear. #4 would be great on an apple.

I think #2 is the one that will win compliments. #1 doesn't look like a suit at all to me. #3 and 4, I like because they're cool...but skirted bath suits are unconventional and others will feel they're anachronistic.

I like them all but especially 2 and 3. I've had good experiences of lands end swim suits too, in case that helps. Happy picking!

I like them all and agree with *CocoLion's* summation that it's more important to find what looks good on you, rather than the prettiest print/design.
So definitely figure out your body type (pear/apple, etc.) and use that as a guide.

I like #2 the best. I don't really like tankinis (although they are easier to fit on my long torso) because they ride up in the water and that bugs me. I think the pattern on #2 would be very flattering.

If I were you, I'd go for a one piece. I have a tankini that I love, except that it rides up in the water like Sara L. mentioned.

I don't care for tankini styles due to the issues mentioned of riding up and sometimes accentuating the belly. I like #2 or #3 the best and would try both of those.

I think it all depends on your body shape. Are you tall or do you have a long torso?I often have trouble with one piece suits, so I would go for #1 as it would be more comfortable for me. Will you be boogie boarding in the ocean or chasing toddlers around the pool or beach? If so, a suit that will stay in place would be the one I'd pick, like #3 or #4, or again, #1. Do you have cellulite? If so, you might want a skirted suit or one with boy shorts.
I think you will look like a stylish mom in all of these. For me, bathing suits are all about fit and function, and I don't like to be constantly adjusting them!

I like 2 and 3 best, too. I agree with Rachylou about 1.

Lots of moms wear something like #1 at our pool. I think the tankini can be a practical choice because it is much easier to manage in the rest room stall...I hate the feeling of hiking up a wet suit and dealing with it and being essentially naked for that time. And with three kids time is of the essence. But maybe that's just me.

I don't like going to the bathroom in a one piece, so I would choose #4. Plus, #4 also looks more modern than #1.

I like 1 best, plus it is practical for going to the bathroom. I agree with BrieN. With three little ones on tow you do not need to spend the extra time pulling down a wet bathing suit and then triple that time for putting it back on while worrying about the children. Plus 1 is a nice style, I think. If 4 is a tankini that could work too.

Number # 2 has a very flattering fit with the vertical stripes and the black on the outside it gives a waist flatter fit with that color blocking style and pattern. The stripes being vertical also draws the waist down having a slimming effect. It is classic and well designed for showcasing the female shape and figure. It also has a better bust support and shape than the others.

I like each one of them but it will come down to fit. Is it possible to order all and keep the one you like best? For me it is such a process where I have to try so many on to find the winner.

Are these from Swimsuitsforall.com? I bought a suit from them and these look familiar. I like skirted swimsuits personally. I am apple shaped. The one I bought is no longer available but it's similar to this one (same brand). I like the shape, I find it flattering:

I like #1 the best for color and style. I also think the ruching on the top will be flattering on a plus sized mommy, not to mention how much more convenient a 2-piece is when you are trying to take care of yourself and children.
I have a long torso and 2-piece suits always fit me better than 1-piece ones.

Yes they are from swimsuitsforall. I may order 2 of them to try and return the one that doesn't fit but I don't know about ordering all 4. I was concerned about the one piece with the whole bathroom bit. I am short, about 5 ft 2 and I guess I'm a rectangle shape? I have a mom pooch for sure.

If you decide to go for a one piece I would pick number 2 and if you decide to go for a two piece I would pick number 4. I get my swimsuits from swimsuitsforall as well, love them!

As someone who looks for the same things in a swimsuit, I like #3 & #4 best. I have a suit like #1 and I don't love it very much. It definitely is *easier* to wear though. I keep it for swimming class only. I find #3&4 VERY stylish
