Hi Fabbers,

I need your help deciding between these two watches. I wanted something rose gold with a large face, but not to chunky. The one on the left appeals to me because it is more masculine and classic and I love the grey strap. I like the other one two because I like the circles on the face, the fact that it is a bit slimmer and sleeker and a bit quirkier. I could keep both, but only if you feel they are sufficiently different - I just bought a black and gold one that I am wearing a lot.

The leather strap is quite a different look to the metal band. I would question whether the gray strapped watch is sufficiently different to your black one if the strap on that is black; these two feel different from each other to me.

Aida - I wear my black watch with my black and white clothes, but I'm looking for something a little bit softer to eat with my blushes and greys (of which I have a lot.) that's why I think that the black and the grey are sufficiently different, but that these two are similar - because I would eat either of these with the same colours. Why do they seem so different to you? Did the metal band seem more dressy? And do you like one better than the other?

Gotcha. The band was the main difference to me, but I'm sensitive to that for myself. I personally prefer the metal because it works better with my own style (me and my shinies!). The scale of the KS is a little better on you, though I think I actually prefer the DKNY if you're going for something a little softer; the KS has more contrast on the face. The main reason they feel different to me is that the KS has a graphic, fun and glam vibe while the DKNY has a much more classic and subdued vibe.

EDIT: Re band dressiness, that seems to really be personal preference. I tend to find metal bands dressier, but my husband for examples finds leather dressier. So that one is up to you

I love oversized watches like these. I would be tempted to go for the KS because the metallic band provides more variety. The bigger one looks almost too big, but it is hard to say with a close up (at least for me!).

I like the look of the first one with the grey band, but find the dot one easier to read...

Thanks ladies. I'm torn. I do like the glam look of the KS, but the DKNY feels more classic.

I hear you ladies on the size of the DKNY...maybe it is too big, I do have a very small wrist...

My preference would be a combination of the two- the classic face of the DKNY in a size closer to the other. (Though it's hard to tell overall size for you without a bigger picture) I think I prefer the metal band too.

Both are nice looking arm candy. If it were my choice, I'd go with the DKNY because I love its classic look. Then again, the KS is very much in keeping with your current style and suits your wrist better.

The KS watch gets my vote for lots of contrast to your black watch. It looks big and oversized but not too oversized. Where do you find your leather bands? I have yet to find one that fits my wrist except for children's.

I'm a fan of the Kate Spade one - and have been for a few months. I would love to have it myself. It's the most modern and interesting looking to me.

@Joy - I got these - plus the black and gold Skagen watch I bought recently - all at Winners. It's the first time I've been able to find big faced watches that fit my wrists!

Lisa P - check out Winners. The KS was $179.99, and they had tons of other KS styles there too.

I prefer the dkny, but that's a matter of personal preference ... The ks I find a bit too "ks-ish" if that makes sense. It's a bit brandier to me and less classic. But that said, they're both very nice, and definitely different enough to have both if you are so inclined!

Thanks torontogirl - and i know what you mean about it being too 'KS-ish.' I often don't like things once many people have them, so highly branded things often don't work for me - that's why i am on the fence on this watch. I may give it a week before I return and see how I feel.
