Which Vince Coat?

CocoLion

1. Pea coat in navy. Classic. Amazing fabric unlined.
2-3. Grey and oatmeal coat. Amazing fabric unlined. More modern
Both are shown with leather moto underneath.

Hmmm. It's hard to see the detail in the navy one, even though I brightened up my screen as much as I could. Looks nice. The second one seems more "you". I like both, but I'm not sure either one is blowing me away.

Wish I could see #1 better, but I still think I like it better. #2 feels a bit swamping.

Oh dear...I like the navy color of the first one but I love the shape and length of the second one when done all the way up. Not very helpful I know...

I like #2 on you better but that just may be by own personal preference for some structure.

Hm,chiming back in to say I like #2 buttoned up but know from experience it will not be worn that way all the time.

I do think the blue one is better with your coloring.

I like #1. I feel as if #2 overwhelms you when open. But that might be a trick of the camera angle.

The So Cal crowd saw #2 in person over the weekend - which includes me because I was there too - and it's killer to the power of killer. Postively traffic stopping wow on Denise. It really fits her style and the colours are stunning with her complexion. The photo does not do it justice.

The peacoat is beautiful too. And you can't go wrong with that style. But in your climate you are not after two coats, right?

I had not even considered the pea coat before. I have both on hold ( which the Santa Monica rep wouldn't do). I tried on another menswear coat the type Angie blogged about. That is another direction. I like the way 2-3 is unique. Hoping it will stand up to fashion changes for 5 years.

No Angie I don't need 2 new coats. I have anther 3 year old cocoon coat that I still like plus jackets and a London fog trench. In fact I don't "need" this it Is a want. I like coats because like bags and shoes they get used a lot and deliver style, loads of it, in one piece. Which is making me think 2-3.

I tried on peacoats at j crew too. Beautiful fabric!

As has been mentioned, the first pic is darkish. I have to still say that I am not so far won over by the second coat. I think it overwhelms you, for one. ETA: it looks better in the third pic, but I don't like it when worn with the contrasting lapels visible.

I made my choice before seeing the comments. The first coat is hard to see but it looks visually heavy on your body & colouring (not sure why) something to do with the length I think. The second one is fabulous imo. I love the fact that you can get two different looks with the second coat too.

2. Good thing it's in a difficult color for me, or I'd be waving my credit card around and throwing caution to the wind!

Love it's easy style. It would be easy to layer under, too.

Angie saw it in person and voted yes to Number 2. That is enough recommendation for me. I recall my recent thread of suit pics where I was taking the photo myself and lots of people voted the jacket down. Well, it might be the photo angle and lighting that influenced my earlier comments.
