The Coach site linked requires registration, so I can not comment on those choices or compare to Longchamps.
Longchamps bags are classic and light-weight, with the ability to fold into themselves. I know many who swear by them, but for me, at that price, nylon and ubiquitous isn't what I want. I'd rather get either a nice leather or fabric tote or less expensive nylon, even if it means replacing it more often. My daughter recently had a nylon tote similar to Longchamps for 2 years, with intense use and multiple exotic travels. It held up beautifully for under $40. YMMV- I am not a "bag du jour" shopper and tend to prefer smaller brands. I also find I need different things from my totes- some need to fold and be lightweight, others need to be durable, sometimes I want fashionable. One could say that the Longchamps is all three. I like that the Longchamps zip, because I don't feel secure with an open tote under an airline seat, for example.
