Which Tights (trying "skirt" week a la Ornella)

I never wear skirts but thought I would try a skirt/boots week (courtesy of Ornella). I can tell I'm going to be limited by my hosiery! Every pair is black or grey. I do have these 2 pairs: brown/purple and blue/purple. I also have opaque brown but they looked "heavy" so I didn't snap a pic. Will either of these work?

Skirt is NYDJ denim, boots/jacket are cognac, top is navy.

1: blue/purple on right, brown/purple on left in bathroom light

2: blue/purple on left, brown/purple on right in better natural light

Or is this outfit just awful?

ETA: OK, based on Celia's suggestion, I changed the long navy cotton tank to this navy animal print Tahari top I forgot about. Is the top in 3 better?

I think either one of them work with this outfit. The only thing I would do would be to tuck in the shirt, it looks a bit long for the skirt.

I like 3 with this jacket and boots. And the length is better too, as to the tights it is hard to see in the picture really. But I might suggest something new in caramel or with a black pattern

TOTALLY love this outfit, Kappy! I would adore wearing something exactly like this. Love the muted colours, the coziness of it, and the elegance. My favourite version is #3 with the tahari top. It is tough to judge about the tights but I believe either pair work. If you wear the top in #1 it might be better to tuck.

Either works, depending on the effect you want. Left leg will bring out the beige of the cardigan, lightens the outfit,give it something more etheral; right leg brings out the geometry and contrast of solid colours (round, triangles, rectangles...) . Your call. It's a beautiful versatile outfit.
