Which shoes for my style?

I'm looking ahead to fall- crazy, maybe, but I'm pretty well set for summer but need a pair of really comfortable but stylish black shoes that I can wear for travel and walk for miles in.

Miles? The only one that even looks feasible is the last one. They are all cute, but patent leather isn't practical for me as a travel/walking shoe.

FWIW, I'm in the same dilemma, a shoe for a big trip. Zappos just delivered 2 pair of Naots and a Merrill slip-on that I have hopes for. But I need more cushioning and structure. None are as fashionable as the ones you picked however.

The Zappos link sent me to the VIP sign up page but of the three I could say I like the Dieppas first and the AGLs second. Comes down to comfort.

I like the lst and 4th option best as far as looks go, but the comfort issue is so individual. They look like they would be comfortable, but reading all the reviews might be the best way to know if they will work for you.

I think there's only one thing for it: order them all and try them on for us! Personally, I love 1, 2, and 4...but you will need to test that comfort, which is all important!

Rambling Ann- Well, OK, maybe I'm asking a lot, but it's the eternal quest: shoes that are fashionable that I can walk all day in.

Glory and Carole- Sadly, I just realized that Nordstrom doesn't have my size in #4.
But maybe they'll get some more, since AGLs seem to be a staple.

Suz, #1 is my favorite without having tried them, but they have a pretty good chance of being too wide and would cost a lot for shipping to find out. I'm really debating whether I want to risk it.

#2 I also really like, and I know for sure that Stuart Weitzmans fit me well. AND there's free shipping and free returns.

#3 I tried on at Nordstrom today, and they're super comfortable, but they just felt very conservative and safe. I wasn't in love, but they'd probably feel good, and that's worth something.

#4- as I said above, I just realized are not currently available in my size. Boohoo!

#5 I also tried on today, but in a different color, and they're comfortable, but not exciting.

I love #2!! The toe shape and texture give them so much style, and then there's comfort too. The only drawback would be not wanting to wear them for travel and walking miles so they don't wear out, they are so lovely.

I actually do walk for miles in my AGLs (3). That's because they fit me like a glove, and I can wear them with or without nylons or peds. Fit is key. I love the low vamp on them, with my ankles and calves. They don't have a lot of support, but oddly, I still find them comfortable for lots of airport and city walking.
If you like a little higher vamp, though, I'm with the votes for 4, 2, or 1, in that order. I think 4 or 2 are slightly more versatile than an all-patent shoe. And I think 4 looks more current than 2 or 1. I am not crazy about 5 because of the rounded toe.
I think any of 1 through 4 would complement what I've seen of your wardrobe and look very stylish.

I think I'm going to try ordering the Stuart Weitzmans. I don't have anything to lose (except that they aren't cheap!) .
I'm wanting them for a trip to France, and I figure if not then, what would I save them for? At home I can wear my more impractical heels since I don't need to walk that much, but when I travel I need some lower heels that look good.

My worry with the ballet flats is that they feel more conservative than the style I'm aspiring to. They seem like terrific shoes, though, and get outstanding reviews. I may try them, and If #4 comes in stock in my size I'll try them, too.

#1 then #2 then #4 distant and only because they are agl.

i have #3 in navy. i love the comfort and rarely wear because of the round toe. too round even when round was trending.

FC- I thought maybe they were new- I hadn't seen them before.

BJ and Caro- I think I need to take a trip to Seattle to try on #1!
Still debating about ordering- I guess the sizing is tricky, and I hate wasting money on shipping for nothing.

I like #2 and #4 best for your style - both will look fabulous on you for fall.

I love the look of the second ones for you, but they don't look terribly comfy to me. I have the AGLs in another color and you're right, they're a bit too staid for your style. They are very comfy, but the soles are leather and wouldn't do for cobblestone streets.

Parsley, then i would go with #2, because shipping cost suck if we get it wrong. For me, 1/2=a toss-up. I prefer the pointed toe, but the unembossed patent texture.

These are good looking shoes and it comes down to comfort, fit and style preferences. I have to say, that I would be thrilled if my feet would put up with any of my foreign trips in shoes this stylish other than for dinner or non walking activities. I typically walk at least 10 miles a day and somehow toe boxes that never bother me at home can feel tighter while away. I also need cushioning between the bottoms of my feet and the uneven streets. Last trip, I wore a pair of AGL Euro style black sneakers for my heavy duty walking, with cushioned Cole Haan oxfords for shorter jaunts. I am sure my feet are beyond fussy at this point, so if any of these work, go for it. These could get great use no matter where you are, whereas my travel shoes don't get too much use when I am home. Good luck- love the SWs.

4 is most fashionable right now but 2 is soooo elegant and looks beyond the 2013 shoe while looking totally of the moment... now that seems uber stylish and in line w your style

Eliza- I guess I'm pretty lucky to have feet that aren't too fussy. I can usually do OK in a low heel without too much cushioning as long as it doesn't rub or pinch anywhere.

I've ordered the Stuart Weitzmans (#2), so I'll know how they are very soon.

It occurred to me that if I'm REALLY lucky, the AGLs might be on Nordstrom's Anniversary sale- wouldn't that be nice!

So, there's no big rush. I'll see how the SWs are and continue to scout around if they aren't the ones.

These are all lovely Parsley and any of them will work beautifully with your style. Of course, comfort will make the final decision. On just a glance, the SW's in #2 are my favorite - sleek and classy looking.
