Which shoes? - YouLookFab Forum

As well as a pencil skirt I am also looking for a new pair of shoes (not necessarily to go with the skirts). I have my eye on the following:

These Carvela black courts - http://www.kurtgeiger.com/onli.....rvela-anya which will work with a lot of things, but are black, which all of my winter shoes are.

These grey shoe boots from Office - http://www.office.co.uk/womens.....3/20092/1/ I like the idea of these - could I wear them with skirts? With grey hose?

These brown shoe boots from Hush Puppies - http://www.hushpuppies.com/UK/.....s/Clarence Same questions as above. I like the idea with these and I love brogue styling (I have black boots with this) but how else could I wear them.

Then there are these from Clarks - http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/O.....s-20332626 and also these http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/O.....s-20333601

as you can see there isn't really a theme in colour or style. I find shoes the hardest part of an outfit to style, which is why I have black, black and black.

The shoes look fab! But at the end of the day, it's all about the comfort. Have you tried any of them on?

I haven't tried any of them on, although I do have some Carvela shoes (metallic stilletto) which are very comfortable and I have had hush puppies in the past which fit well. I am less sure about the Clarks as they can be too wide in the heal for me.

After shopping on Monday with all the crowds I really don't feel like trapsing around London, so will probably buy over the internet. I was just hoping that someone might say, "seriously what are you thinking" and I wouldn't have to make a decision!

Those first ones are cuuuuuuuuute. And I like the last red ones, too. But I have a weakness for red shoes!

I've also had my eye on the red loafers for work but have found my grey booties to be really versatile for work and play. If you can I would opt for Khirs' suggestion.

I looked at the Clarks shoe boots at lunch time and found them really heavy in the hand, so they went back on the shelf very quickly. I am leaning strongly towards the grey booties and in fact tried on these at lunch as well - http://www.jonesbootmaker.com/.....ARITY_Grey

I might see if they are still there after work.

Julie - do you always wear yours with grey tights/hose?

No Fi, I have worn them with textured black hose, black micro fishnets, nude micro fishnets and sometimes grey hose. The grey opaque tights have too many school uniform associations for me so they are seldom worn.
