Autumn - which for me - starts today! Hooray! Doesn't matter that it is in the 90s and so humid I can not leave the AC! It is September - my favorite month. Blue skies, colorful leaves, football! I can get all of my boots out and plan outfits around them. I am shopping for a leather/shearling jacket. I can begin dreaming about holiday parties. Happy, happy, happy!
Definitely summer! I love sundresses (in the floral patterns, flowing styles, and lighter weights of summer), sandals and the opportunity for regular pedicures with results I can actually enjoy seeing :-). Also, my arms are probably my best feature, and the two months of summer we get in Seattle (although this year has been a disappointing exception) is pretty much the only time the weather is warm enough to expose them.
Yes, Louise, I love the smell of autumn too. But you're teasing me because it will be at least a couple of months before we get to smell it here in Texas.
Louise, I know exactly what you mean about the marvelously crisp fragrance of autumn. I've noticed it in the mornings these past few days floating along with the cool breezes. My husband thinks I'm bonkers. Well, at least I'm not boring!
