Which pair of pants? - YouLookFab Forum

suiting fabric yesterday that has a beautiful hand and drape and I just had to buy it. I cannot decide what type of trousers I want to make (photos below), ideally I'd like to make all 3 - but my time is very limited. So, I need your votes please
Currently I am making the blazer in pic #2 mine is a little shorter than that and the fabric is a richer burgundy velvet (I'll post a picture when I complete it) - the trouser fabric is not necessarily for this blazer but it has a little burgundy in the checks - actually it is almost the same fabric as the Zara pants

All three of these will look good on my body type so which one should I make?
#1: high waist, pleated
#2: High waist, wide leg, classic trousers
#3: Mid waist, cropped (ignore the poor fit in the picture, mine won't be like that)
#4: Any other suggestions?

#2 gets my vote. Warm if you have cold winters. The blazer sounds yummy. Please show us the results.

I'm a bit torn between 1 and 2, leaning towards 2.

I'm starting to see more "carrot" shapes like 1 in some magazines and higher end retail sites. But given fashion's trickle down effect, high waisted wide legs like 2 are still new (and a personal perennial favorite)!

Really love the combination of checks and velvet!

Number 2 is my fave, though just by a hair. I feel like no. 3 is a pretty common silhouette these days, so it won't stand out as much. No. 2 is very fresh and will be eye-catching, IMO.

All three are on trend, but I lean towards #2 because full length pants are so nice to see again!

I would choose #2. Classic, gorgeous and with a 70s vibe.

Back to plug for #1 some more... because esp. with the jacket... my fear with two, it will slide into Chairman Mao territory... but with 1, that's advanced fashion...

Toban, I kept wearing my full length pants and I only had 2 or 3 pairs of cropped pants - I never put something completely aside, especially that I'm in a very conservative work environment.

Rachylou, you made me laugh, now if I make #2, I won't be able to wear it with the blazer without remembering this comment plus, I like the sound of 'advanced fashion'.

Another vote for #1! That style would not work on my body at all, but I would love to see it in the wild on someone who wears it well.
