Which Outfit to Bring? - YouLookFab Forum

I need some help picking an outfit for an event for my friend's wedding. I will be driving to San Diego (6 hour drive) and then almost immediately going to the bridal shower. I want something comfortable and easy to travel in, but that is also bridal shower appropriate.

#1- Gap maxi dress with flat brown boots
#2- Gap maxi dress with heeled brown boots
#3- Nordstroms maxi skirt with Express white sweater and white cami, flat brown boots
#4- same as #3 except with a different white sweater (I feel I look pregnant in this, which is a negative)

I just wanted to share some other outfits for that weekend I've already decided on, any suggestions helpful as well.
#5- walking around downtown for dinner and drinks with the girls after the shower
#6- Rehearsal dinner dress

I was going to pick #6 but I see it's the rehearsal dinner dress! Woops! If it's a very relxed event then I would maybe go with #5. If not then dress #1 looks good!

I love #5 & #6 & think they fit the bill exactly. I'm not so sure about either white top - can you play some more, the shoes look a little heavy too imo.

I like the dress in 1-2, but the footwear is too wintery for it. Do you have metallic sandals or flats? I like 4 and see no pregnancy but if you don't feel good in it then there's that.

I like #6 for this event but then I see this is for the rehearsal dinner.

#1 would then be my choice for the Bridal Shower, howeever I feel both pairs of shoes are too heavy for the dress. I would go with someone more of a sandal, with some skin showing.

I vote for #3. It's stylish, comfortable and you look great in it! 5 and 6 are perfect for the events you mentioned. Have fun!

I like #3. The blue max dress is cute, but I don't think it works well with heavy footwear (and, it being, well, fall and all, sandals are probably not an option). #3 has the boxy sweater, which is kind of trendy. The long skirt will be great for any activity, including driving, and looks pretty good with flat boots. I don't think the other sweater makes you look pregant! But, I don't think the look is a as cute and modern as the other sweater.

Sandy, I like the Gap maxi dress. But the shoes don't really enhance the outfit. How about pairing the maxi dress with some metallic heels and a pearl necklace? Outfit no. 5 and 6 are great. You could also throw on a colourful scarf in outfit no.5 for a pop of bright colour.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I am going to have to rethink the footwear for the event, I think. I do like the blue Gap maxi dress, but I think I'm going to have to retire it until the summer again. I am leaning toward the chiffon maxi skirt and white top, but I will have to think about the shoes.
I'm glad everyone liked the other outfits, I was feeling confident in them and you guys validated that.
