Which outfit for disco party?

I'm going to a 70s disco party on Saturday. Now that I've got hair (center part, sides braided and pulled back) and makeup (frosty blue eyeshadow, bubble gum glossy lips) sorted, I'm trying to decide on my outfit!

At first, I thought I might wear this dress which is vintage late 70s/early 80s (meaning, I actually wore this dress and still have it and kind of fit it):

Then I saw the Soul Train video Bigi posted a link to, and that reminded me of the tube top + flares look. I normally don't wear tube tops (heh) but for the sake of costume I would, if it doesn't look too ridiculous:
Pants have thin black and red stripes, pleated, chiffon:

The necklace I am wearing, which is barely visible, is also from the late 70s/early 80s

I like the dress--and it's great that it's a piece from the time period. It now makes an excellent costume!

Are those Kork-Ease sandals in silver (or Kork-Ease inspired)? You look ready to disco!

The dress looks nice and like it fits you really well, but, I get more of a 70's vibe from the top+pants outfits! The sandals are spot on!

I vote for 3 with some 70s jewelry and earrings based on your make up and hair choices.

Oh! It's a great dress! You look very pretty in it. But I still think the tube top with flared pants would be really fun. I like both pair of pants, not sure which one I would pick. Maybe the jeans. Or maybe the other one. Hmmm ... difficult choice. Both are great. And the shoes are perfect!

I also wanted to suggest a silk scarf, they were very popular accessories in the 70s. Tied on the side of the neck, like Agnetha of ABBA wears it here:

Or a sequined scarf, that could be cool too.

As for jewelry, you can see some plastic bangles in the photo, that would be very 70s. I was a child in the 70s and I remember wearing the same kind of choker style necklace as Anni Frid in the photo. It was a velvet ribbon, mine had a gold heart sown on to it. (But I think I would prefer a silk scarf instead).

Thanks everyone for your input. Seems fairly divided on the outfits! At least I am on the right track. Right now, I am leaning toward the dress since it's a dinner-dance-fundraiser event. I would definitely wear the tube top if it were a 70s event at a club or house party. But maybe I'll let my husband have a vote, since he has to be seen with me

garmenta -- the sandals are Swedish Hasbeens. They're basically like clogs, with a wood sole and heel. They do have that Kork-Ease look. I have a thread reviewing them here.

bigi -- thanks for posting the Abba photo! Great example of 70s accessories. Hm, I actually have a choker kind of like Anni's. It's a thin black leather strip with a big black leather rose on it.

I looked through some 70s photos this morning and I remember seeing a choker with a big flower attached. Sounds great.

How fun, I wish it was me going to a 70s party!
