Which outfit for afternoon wedding?

It's tomorrow. I've narrowed it down to these two outfits. The sandals have a wedge heel which is perfect for the mountain setting on uneven ground.

The first outfit works better with pants which I would change into when it gets cold at night (I'd just put on my R13 cross over pants and Rag & Bone booties; the picture is shown with the Sam Edelman sandals). For the second outfit, I'd have to bring a different top as the orange top doesn't work as well with the R13s.

My bf picked the second outfit. Which would you recommend? Thanks!

I'd go with the first outfit because it looks great and would make changing easier. Both look wonderful on you, though.

I LOVE #4 for the wedding.

And vote bring the whole of #3 to change into at night.

#4 is stunning. I'm with Angie - humor you boyfriend and wear what he likes for the wedding, unless packing more is problematic.

Denise both outfits are stunning. I would go with #4 for the wedding. It's gorgeous. Lovely colour for you and so elegant, and your bf likes it and I think that's kind of special. The black and white is what I thought I would choose and it is stunning but I think #4 is just that little more wedding appropriate. May I ask where the tip is from?

It looks like the orange top is in the lead. I love the way it looks from the back. If I wear this, I need to add some dramatic jewelry.

The orange top is from Zara.

The black and white top is from BCBG via Macy's and was triple the price (and still returnable; the Zara top has passed its return date).

I agree! Wear 4 to the wedding and then change into the other outfit with your R13s after.

You can't go wrong here, they are both beautiful. However if Angie & BF agree (& it's one you love) then decision made imo

I guess I'm in the minority liking #1. I guess I love how it makes a statement with no jewelry whatsoever and that you'd only have to change the bottoms for night. Much less fuss to me.

Both outfits are absolutely gorgeous, Denise! Love the simplicity and elegance of these! I am taking notes! And wow, those sandals look great on you.

I'm assuming wearing white would not be an issue at this particular wedding.

But even so, if BF likes the orange top, wear that one and just switch up the whole thing later if you can? Either way, I don't think you can lose -- you look beautiful, elegant, chic, modern, and cool.

Sounds like you're, as Angie says, "sorted," but I wanted to pop in and say you look gorgeous! Most of you ranch to restaurant life is, naturally, quite casual. It's a treat to see you dressed up ad you do it beautifully!

Love Angie's suggestion - that orange colour is gorgeous on you Denise and then you can wow everyone with your second outfit too. These both look stunning on you.

I've witnessed a polka dot (white and navy) wrap dress get a guest in an uncomfortable position on an afternoon wedding last summer... Although the couple getting married wasn't at all connected to tradition (the bride's dress was lavender), a grandma and an aunt of the groom were and they didn't spare a harsh comment.

So...even if I really like the white/black top, I would not recommend wearing anything with the slight hint of white to the ceremony. Maybe the couple/the bride won't care, but why risk upsetting some other relative and facing a tight-spot situation on a friend/family member's big day?

Plus the orange blouse pleases the bf, which is a major plus. Isn't it? For the evening... maybe you can get away with thighs (and a crisp jacket)? Easier to pack and to change, without any style compromise.

I adore both of them, but something about the drapey coral top is just so romantic, so I vote for that one!

You can't go wrong either way. My fav is #1, but if packing is no problem you could go with Angies suggestion and also make your BF happy

You look great in both but I kind of prefer the second outfit! I'd probably wear the second outfit with the orange/coral top and bring the other as the backup for night time as Angie suggested. Another option would be to choose different pants for night time to go with the orange top more easily (for me, it might be dark jeans if it's late and feeling casual enough).
