I got a second maxi dress at my friend's swap this week. It's adorable but I wonder if it's too 'beachy' somehow? My original maxi is the chevron stripe one that has linen in the blend that makes it feel almost like a sweaterdress. Hard to explain - but it does not feel strictly beachy or like a swimsuit cover up. The floral is all cotton and light and airy. Am I silly about the whole beach thing here? Just a construct of my own imagination?
And more importantly, which should I wear for lunch with mom (and a possible walk along the lake). Thanks!
