Which AT cord blazer? Do you mean ATL (the Loft)? Is there a photo online you could show us, so we can see the style?
And where was the fit issue? Shoulders, waist, all over? Did you try going down a size?
I went shopping yesterday and I had good luck at BR. The jacket isn't online anymore, but it was not a style I'd normally expect to work for my hourglass shape... and yet, it worked great.
I hit Ann Taylor but this time just to pick up some elbow-length gloves. I did have luck there a week or so ago. I deliberately came back for the gloves, because last year I waited too long and then couldn't find any in my size. Otherwise, I'm holding off until I can use my coupons in October.
I also hit Ann Taylor Loft (with coupons in hand) but was sorely disappointed. Found nothing at all. I don't like the colors they are coming out with this season - they don't work for me. There was one silk green blouse that was lovely - but not available in petites.
I hit JCrew but nothing interested me there this time around. I'm often hit or miss there - but mostly that's because I'm a petite. Jcrew is worth a look.
And I hit Anthropologie. I think Angie doesn't like that place .... but I find that Anthropologie often is a good place to scope out jackets and cardis that really play up the waist. Usually more funky/casual/fun ... with bells and whistles ... not necessarily what I'd wear to work. More what I'd wear on a weekend.
I don't know your price range, but I'm finding Nanette Lapore jackets are perfect for hourglass shapes. Her designs really focus on the waist. But they are expensive. And some are a bit too-frou-frou. So you have to be selective.
