Having been reassured that boots and a dress would be OK, I quickly ran to my closet, and am rather surprised at the plethora of choices I have. Here are the two frontrunners. Which do you like better (keeping in mind I don't have any jewlery or makeup on and my hair is not even brushed much less styled)? I'm attending an archaeological lecture at an art museum. And yes, my friend and I will be the most dressed up people there by a mile; I fully expect most attendees in short shorts and flip flops or pajamas and cowboy bots.

1 and 2 - blue paisley surplice dress and navy Eileen Fisher cardi with my midcalf lace up Granny boots. The safer, prettier, more flattering choice.

3 and 4 - brown and green floral wrap dress with a selection of cardigans, and rather rugged knee high brown riding boots. This is an artier/edgier choice - the colors actually wash me out a bit, but it's so groovy, I don't actually care. If you choose this dress, please vote on a cardigan too.

With both ensembles I will have my brown suede Nehru jacket in case it's chilly/windy.

Thank you in advance!
