I realize you aren't supposed to choose your running shoes based on their color, but the shoes I want come in a whole bunch of different colors! I've narrowed it down to two, and now I'm stuck.
I have an autumn colored wardrobe, and have come to the realization that I should be wearing different shoes for my walk to and from campus than the ones I wear while interacting with faculty and my students. Finding the type of shoe I want in "fall" colors is basically impossible, so my commuting shoes just aren't going to go with my wardrobes, and I'm learning to be ok with that. I do realize that these shoes are gear, and I will not be wearing them to run errands or interact with people. I just get my exercising in on my way to and from work, and need proper gear shoes to keep my feet happy and protect my "nice" shoes.

I just bought the turqouise pair from REI for $109 after tax. I love the color to look at, but truthfully it doesn't go with my autumn-toned wardrobe. Returning them will take 30-40 mins of driving round trip, but isn't a big deal.
The orange pair are on amazon for $78 with prime shipping. I love the color to look at a little less, and the bright orange and dull gray will still clash with most of my wardrobe.
So do I go with the more expensive pair with colors I like better, or save $30 for a pair with slightly less awesome colors?
Yay = keep the caribbean
Nay = return the caribbean and order the lychee
