Which color collar?

I got a $100 coupon for DKNY (code FALLNOW, only good 9/19) off $300. I've admired these shearling collars.
There's a grey flannel version

I like the black too but I feel the grey will have a long style shelf life for some reason.

Looking closer I like the long Toscana shearling on the grey. The black is a nubbly shearling. Hmmm.

ETA: Elle said what I almost wrote too! At least I know that I'm not alone in thinking that shiny shiny bits of leather combined with buckles brings to mind bondage gear and the Velvet Underground.

It depends what you wear them with I suppose but I prefer the grey because the black looks like bondage wear to me, which would have been a plus in my younger years. I'm not sure how old you are or your style so you may prefer that punky look.
