Which casual day dress would you pick for me?

This is a future purchase, once I sell some stuff to earn the bucks! No more tempting fate with my SYC
But I would like to know what you all think as I wait to be able to buy! The bonus of dress 1, it is woven which I'm really liking for the durability factor, not to mention minimizing panty lines and lumps and bumps. Dress 2 has sleeves which I like since many of my summer and casual dresses I already own have straps, but it's a knit which I'm worried about the issues I just mentioned above.
Essentially, I'm looking to play with belts more and both of these dresses would be great for that, but if I fail at my styling attempts they also stand up alone lol.
I appreciate you taking the time to help me in my obsessing @@. ( FWIW, the last batch of blue dresses I posted really surprised me in the picks and why, so I'm still learning about myself from you all!) Thanks!

Hmmm, hard to say without seeing them on you, but I lean toward #1 -- simpler and therefore likely more versatile, and I think it would work better with belts.

Well I'm no expert, but I actually like #1 best. I think it will work better with belts - I think it might be hard to work a belt with dress #2 because the front ruffle goes right over the waist band.

Do we have to choose one? it might be because it is still winter but I don't love either one of them.
If I really have to choose I would say #1.

Truthfully, I don't love either one, Mo. It's hard to tell how the first one fits because of the model's bizarre pose. And the second one seems too ruffly to be multipurpose. What are your criteria so I can be on the lookout?

Ooh, a scout!! I'll take a blouson or cinched waist that is beltable in a woven dress, bright blue is good, cobalt is best And cap, flutter, or short sleeves would be nice. Could have zippers or pockets. Not a standard shirt dress and preferably straight skirt. Got all that?! LOL

If I have to pick, I say #1. Off the bat, w/out reading your post, #2 looks more "Mo" but I think a little bit of a departure would be nice and as you said, the durability factor with the woven is great.

But I think, since it's SYC any way, keep looking until you find a great woven cobalt blue dress with sleeves!

I like #1 better - it looks more sophisticated while still being summery and casual.

I like them both for different reasons. First of all I LOVE this shade of blue. GORGEOUS. The woven one would be great for being non-clingy, a topper would go over it easily and it would be beltable. Even though it is strappy, it's not juvenile looking. The second one I like for it's sleeves and I like a flowing ruffle on you. So I'm a real big help, I know!

I like #1, but I'm not sure that fabric will be minimizing lumps and bumps - from the photo it looks thin & has a sheen?
Maybe AG will scout out another option.

#2 felt more like you if you like ruffles. It looks very comfortable for hot weather. #1 is more structured which you can dress up and down as well.

Una, I like your fantasy dress, until I saw it was silk, and then saw the price lol! I don't know my range but I know that isn't it. This dress should be able to go play croquet by the lake and sit on the grass, or head to the beach with friends for the afternoon, that kind of thing.
These dresses are under $60. I am strongly attracted to the first, racerback one, which I see is most everyone else's preference for me, too. I will keep my eyes open but this one in my wish list for now

I can't tell what's supposed to be going on in the bust of #1. Is the model just not filling it out? I think I'd like it if it fit nicely, but if that is the style, I think I like #2 better.

I'm not totally feeling either dress-- the fit just looks so odd in the first one that I can't get over that to look at the dress itself, and I feel like the second one is too ubiquitous in its style.

If that CK one had a straighter skirt I'd be all over it. But it's so much like my purple one I feel makes me look like a triangle (that has been demoted to lounge/swim cover up).
