Comfort is key as long as you also
like how they look! By that I mean only, I have tried in some footwear tgst felt marvelous but I could not stand how my feet or ankles looked- something about the shape and proportion. So I knew I just would not wear them.
OTOH if the style is good looking on your feet, and the right color for your palette, and you just had been hoping to find something a little more jazzy, or different, you are likely to do well with the plainer ones, and make other outfit embellishments.
If you are determined to have something more special, and not duplicate, you would need to try another size at least, AND not buy even those if they are not fully comfortable, but just keep looking. For what could really be a HEWI.
I won’t say I’ve never had a slightly uncomfortable shoe, haha, but it would need to be for some specific event- reason - wedding party, gala, - and even so, now I’m thinking I would not make new purchasers. Certainly would not settle for daily- wear type shoes and laceup boots! These are the very items where we can get great foot comfort in the right amount of style for how it is expected to look.
