which bikini top: grey or black?

I picked up this bikini top at H&M this morning in grey and am wondering if I should order the black instead. To me, the grey is more interesting but the heather color makes it look slightly more underwear-ish than I would like.
They did not have the black in the store so I'd have to order it online. There is a shipping charge and a return charge (can't return online orders to the store) so I don't want to order it unless I'm pretty sure I want to keep the black. At least I already know it fits.

The bottoms are plain black hipsters with ruching on the side as I did not like the cut of the matching bottoms, if that makes a difference.

I like the design, kewl.

I think I might prefer the black, I love gray in general, but something about the marled fabric doesn't read that 'swimwear' to me and looks a little bit like a t-shirt bra with unexpected shiny trim. But I bet the gray looks better on your skin tone than the models...hmmm

Tough call Diana - I see what you mean but part of the issue is that we're only looking at the top and many bikini tops with a bra style might read "bra" when you only see them out of context. The two tone gives more interest so I'm torn. It's a really interesting modern style. I know, not much help.

I really really like the black. I am a huge fan of gray but not so much in this design. To me, it looks a little like crafty bondage. The black is really fab and sleek; the edge is better integrated.

I think I'm opposite, I like the gray, but the black looks like a sports bra to me. I say get them both so you can mix and match if you're on the fence though.

With black mismatched bottoms (ie/ no design cohesiveness with top) I'd be even more concerned about the underwear affect.

Sorry to say they both look very bra-like to me; gray more so. But since good swimsuits are the hardest items ever, ever, to find, with too many boxes to tick, your judgement will be good enough for me.

Thanks, everyone. I think I'll go ahead and order the black. I found a 20% off code anyway which effectively makes the shipping $2 which is fine by me.
Anyway, I think y'all are right that the black will be more cohesive with black bottoms.

Unfrumped, I don't mind that it looks like a bra. I guess what I do mind is that the grey heather somehow looks like jersey and not swimwear material to me.

You should also know that I am biased against black swimwear, but I love black lacy underwear.

I vote black. I don't know why. It's true the grey one looks a bit more underwear-esque, but that doesn't bother me. I think it's that there's a big black band that runs right across the nipples, and on the grey one, it's too much. But on the black one, it's more subtle and I like it.
