Hi there,
I just found this forum, and I am very glad I was led to it. I hope that you will be able to help me with my quest of building a professional wardrobe. I started a new position as a college professor a year ago, and I realize that while I have appropriate clothes for the winter, I hardly have anything for the fall season, i.e between now and until the weather becomes cold.
So while I was wondering what to wear and how to wear it, I remember that I wanted to experiment with tunics/ short dresses worn over pants, not leggings. As a graduate student I have seen women professors who wore exactly the same outfit. While this is not my number one choice outfit, I feel like it will do a good job of hiding those areas of my body which I am most concern about. I am 5'6' and 132 lb. I am not big chested, but still it's fairly easy to attract attention to that area of the body if I wear buttoned shirts, so I avoid these, unless they are a good fit.
For the past several days I've been trying to find a tunic/ short dress that I might imagine myself wearing at work, and I have had a terrible time doing so. I've checked Macy's, Nordstrom, Zappos, yoox. I search the images in google, and also Pinterest, and still nothing. I will very much appreciate your help.
