Where to find fun, non-black gym wear?

I am starting to go to the gym with a friend. It's great cause the time on the elliptical just melts away when you're gabbing with a buddy. But, being as vain as I am, I want some cute gym clothes. However, all I see is a sea of black saggy yoga pants. I liked the Stella McCartney for Adidas collection but it's a bit hard to bring myself to spend $80+ on gym pants.

To that end, does anyone have any recommendations for non-black, maybe even fun patterned, gym clothing? I am more looking for bottoms than tops as I can use the gym as an excuse to wear all my cute cartoon character and band graphic tees!

Last time I was at Target, they had some cute tops and bottoms in cute colors like magenta and teal.

I'm gonna piggyback this post and second LJ's request....I've started to work out regularly again and I'm tired of my grey and black bottoms as well.

As a regular gym go-er, I'll give you my 2 cents worth. I *only* wear black pants to the gym because when you really work out you sweat in the crotch area and wind up looking like you wet yourself! LOL (Ask me how I know...)

I leave the color for up top now...

I'm loving a bright purple running skirt by Lululemon but it doesn't come cheap. TJ Maxx often has Adidas, Nike and Marika dry technology workout wear at great prices. Oh, and Reebok, too. Some of their tennis stuff is pretty cute and colorful and works just fine for gym or other sports.

I've got bright turquoise crop pants & top from lucy, but that may have been a spring/summer thing, as I'm not seeing much color in what's on their website right now.

Huge fan of Lululemon. These clothes are bright and designed for a woman's body. No saggy crotch, muffin top,etc.

Oh Kim you're so clever, that's why gym bottoms are black! Makes complete sense now! That being said, if I could find some black or dark grey pants with some nice details or cut, they'd more fun to wear than saggy baggy ones.

I'm also looking at Lululemon.com right now! Thanks for the replies all.

Check Kohl's- they usually have gray,navy and brown in addition to the black.

Another vote for Lululemon.
The pants are expensive, I admit, but once you invest in a pair, you'll never go back! First, you really only need one pair because they wear so WELL--no stretching, fading, etc. Second, they are the only pair of gym pants I've found that are actually flattering on all sorts of body types. No dreaded camel toe and the cuts are slenderizing because the designers think about things like where to flare out the bottom part so that it makes your legs look as thin as possible.
Plus, earmuffs Angie, if you need to run to the grocery store or do an errand post-gym, you'll feel totally fine doing so in the Lululemon pants, I promise!

I have also found that Victoria's Secret has a nice range of coloured cropped pants and at 2 for $40 they're a steal.

I don't actually own any lululemon workout pants, but I wanted to mention that they will hem your pants for free, so if that's something you need, it could save you a little money.

My issue is that I don't like it when my workout pants are tight in the butt and thighs, and it seems like *all* workout pants do that. I just want something that skims my body, not hugs it.

Here's another song of praise for lululemon. I don't like my workout pants to be too tight, but there are several styles of looser fitting pants, crops, and shorts. The Be Still style even has pockets. A couple of ladies in my yoga class asked me what kind of pants they were (because they looked so cute and comfortable) and ended up buying them themselves.

I'm very fussy with what I wear to work out. I've recently joined a Crossfit "gym" and since I'm working out in public, I'm paying more attention to what I wear.
I typically wear colored shorter shorts (I found some cute pink mesh ones by Nike) and gray v-neck tees or tanks. Now that it's cooler, I'm wearing knee length capri tights and bright colored shirts.
The top below is by Hard Tail for Nordstrom (found at the Rack for $10). They usually have fun prints and colors. I also seek out Zella at the Rack. I love lululemon, but I can't justify spending that much for work out wear.
I recently got some super fun shoes that will add some spunk to my "gear".

Looks like I might have to spring for a pair of lululemon pants. Maybe after I have maintained my gym routine for a month I'll treat myself.

Just for kicks, here's the lululemon skirt I love. It's not just cute - it's by far the best fitting skirt for running that I own. Great fabric, excellent fit. Luckily, I paid much less through eBay! http://www.facebook.com/photo......1456754575
