Where to find casual woven tops, skirts, dresses?

Hi all,
I have been reading this very helpful website for a while but this is my first time posting. Like many of you, I am eagerly awaiting spring and am planning to update my warm weather wardrobe. I have realized that most of my casual warm weather items are knits. I'd really like to replace these with some woven tops and skirts and probably a sundress as well. Since these will be for casual wear, I don't want to spend too much ($35 per item or less, maybe more for the dress). Any suggestions for where to look? I considered some ATL tops but the fit was no good (very blousy/baggy). The Gap website has some nice short-sleeved blouses but they seem overpriced.

June, I think the stores are just barely beginning to stock for spring, so it might pay to wait a bit. Have you tried Target and Kohls? It's hit or miss, but you may find what you want. Sometimes Eddie Bauer has some cute woven casual things. You might find what you want at Macys, Norsdstroms, AT or BR, etc. and then watch for sales or check online for better prices.

Hi June, Glad you decided to post. TJ Maxx and Marshall's have inexpensive but nice things sometimes. You have to search through a lot of stuff though. On some visits I feel I hit the jackpot and other times I go home empty handed, but I try to go on a regular basis and just try on loads of things.

I don't know what size you are, but NY&Co has very reasonably priced woven tops that fit well, but you can't be too tiny because their sizes run big.

I'm usually a size small, sometimes a medium. I prefer tops that have some waist definition since I'm small busted and and slightly pear shaped. I generally steer away from the babydoll or tunic look for this reason (that was the problem with the ATL tops). I'll check out NY&Co, thanks for the tip.
