I suppose you could call these 3 outfits deconstructed versions of the animal print & pattern mixing theme that I've been playing around with.

1-3: To work. Okay, I felt like the chevron striped skirt and polka dotted banded blouse were pretty extreme in my pattern-mixing repertoire, even if both were black and white. When I looked into the mirror, I felt like I was looking at one of those Magic Eye books with hectic prints that practically make your eyes jump around, and I was sure I was in for some questions at the office (of the "What were you thinking?" variety.)
However, either people have adjusted to my stylistic quirks, or else it didn't look too terribly abnormal.
I paired both pieces with a multi-strand turquoise beaded necklace and aqua pumps.

#4-5: Another work day outfit. Emerald with the leopard print pumps again, this time by way of the knit emerald midi pencil skirt. I wore a cobalt button-down blouse over the skirt; somehow, it looked incomplete without a belt, but I'm not sure if I like the choice of having a belt that is this wide with the outfit.

#6-8: Tonight, to watch Fiona Apple perform (with Blake Mills.) I'm excited - I've never had the pleasure of watching Fiona Apple perform live before, though I've loved her music for half of my life.
Knit emerald skirt, leopard print silk pussycat-bow shell, black bead and cord necklace, cracked bone-colored patent wedge sandals.

Honorable mention to my cobalt handbag for being the unsung MVP of the week.
