I feel like I have been a bit scarce the last few days on the forum. WIW's have not been a priority (maybe because I am a bit bored with my wardrobe?) and I have just barely been following posts. My summer wardrobe is feeling very limited at the moment due to purging, weight gain and deliberate style choices. I also need a hair cut (which I am delaying because I think I want a bit of length again). This spring has been incredibly hot (in fact I think we skipped spring and went straight to summer, with temps already in the low 30's (c) and I am finding it difficult to dress in this heat. Truth be told, I am dreading full on summer!!!
I had hoped to do a fab spring/summer shop and create a wonderful set of capsules that would look amazing. Unfortunately, a large, unexpected debt looms (I am hoping it gets sorted out and doesn't come to fruition though) which has made me very cautious about spending any of my wardrobe savings.
Having said that though, I find that YLF has fundamentally changed the way I view my clothes. I feel, when I open my wardrobe in the morning, that I am looking at my clothing with a more seasoned eye instead of groping in the dark. I have bought a couple of things that have been over my usual spend threshold and have worn them with enjoyment. My recent bf jeans acquisition for example - they were about 4 times the price of what I would usually spend on jeans (which isn't to say they were that expensive - just that I am cheap, lol) but I don't regret the purchase one bit because I am loving the comfortable fit.
Basically, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Angie, and all of you other fabbers who make up YLF for helping me be a slightly more stylish me, even when I am in a schlump.
Hugs to you all! xxx
