Where do you find inspiration lately?

I suppose I should say other than Angie's brilliant blog posts and the YLF WIW and ideas in the forum, I am wondering if there is a place/site/person/tv show/etc. that inspires you with fashion ideas?

Today I spent a few glorious, peaceful hours sitting in an outdoor cafe near college campus and instead of head down in a book or on smart device, just drank my latte and people watched (from behind my shades).

I saw some color combos that really looked fun - mustard and burgundy in a retro outfit, a well dressed guy in gray slim jeans and red blazer. Of course i had to look past a ton of yellow and blue (CAL colors) but it was great treat.

My primary inspiration comes from other blogs including YLF
I also get a lot of ideas for colour combos from Indian saris - they always mix vibrant colours together and often, patterns too!
I also like Pinterest a lot - a lot of the people I follow pin some great outfit ideas!

What a great spot to people-watch for inspiration Christieanne.

I get inspiration through tangential thinking mostly. One thing leads me to another. Google helps. So if I was thinking about a yellow coat, (and I was), I searched images and found something else that caught my eye (see below). So now something else to be inspired by.

I watch people a bit too, especially riding their bikes - saw a sylphlike young woman with long straight mousey-blonde hair cycling, wearing a beautiful oat-coloured coat and ballet flats; she had a brown satchel in her basket. The whole look was both understated and memorable. I don't see myself following her lead but it inspires me nonetheless.

I get inspiration here and blogs too, and television and movies, magazines. And thrifting - it forces novel combinations on me.

From everywhere really. And when possible I save a pic to my inspiration folder!

Angie and the forum is more than enough for me. And perhaps the Ezibuy catalogue! I do read a couple of other fashion blogs but more for the advice than the outfits.

I was very surprised then, that I was not just noticing costume detail when I watched the sound of Music yesterday, but thinking of appropriating a couple of looks, as I mentioned in this thread http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....nspiration.

With limited time, I almost solely rely on this site with Angie and YLF community. I just joined pinterest with an idea to save the inspirations, but haven't figured out how to work it just yet (quite technologically challenged) I also love to read fashion magazines, any kind and usually get ideas or at least seeds of ideas in my head. My SIL buys all the trashy gossip mags and shares them with me and I buy Lucky, Glamour, Marie Claire and People Stylewatch to share with her.

Fruitful I LOVE THOSE SHOES. Must figure out how to pin them.

I really like the Lookbook and outfits we love sections of clothing retailer websites. JCrew often has fresh color combinations that I would not have thought of. I'm also a fan of Pinterest for ideas.

Honestly lately I have been trying to read myself lately to figure out what my inner style says. Then I try to think which celebrity/fashion person exhibits styles I like and look to them for ideas.

OF COURSE, I am inspired by all the ladies here! But I am also extremely inspired by the stores and street fashion (especially when I travel). Since before I was a buyer, this was my soul inspiration and it's stuck.

And I am very much inspired by the clothing on the catwalks at all the Fashion Weeks. I like to see what's in the pipeline and how it will be translated to retail.

I still browse through mags because I find it quite comical how the views are often opposing.

YLF is absolutely my first inspiration. I barely look at magazines anymore. I do like some of the fashion blogs I've discovered since I joined YLF.
