Where did you buy your Brulees?

I'm late jumping on the Brulee cult, but nonetheless, I want them!

I wear a really hard to find size (12) and only the color available in my size on Zappos is white, and I don't wear any white so I'm not sure they will work. Amazon.com has the green available. I sort of like the green, except they have a flower detail which I am not sure about. Just wondering if you can point me toward any other sites? Not many carry my size so I think I'm out of luck.

I ordered the teal Gelatos from Zappos and got them today. They are SO comfy but I'm unsure about the look. My mom saw them and told me they look like older person shoes and that I'm too young for them (I'm 22). I know that Maya tried these teal Gelatos and returned them... I might be doing the same. I really like how the white ones look on Medusa, though. Any thoughts on the look? I really want a comfy shoe because I spend 12 hours on my feet at work.

I didn't return them because they felt old--I just couldn't afford both pairs of sandals at once. I think they *can* look old...particularly the brown color. But a lot of it depends on how they are worn as well. I thought the teal with citron buckle was the most "youthful" looking color combo so that is why I jumped on it. Honestly, they didn't seem to get any raves from the YLF crowd, but my feet are so finicky that I just make the most out of whatever they can tolerate. Believe me, I would love to wear edgy strappy funky sandals and I *know* there are much more stylish options available, but I just can't tolerate them, so I try and make do with what I can wear.

I tried the Gelatos before the Brulees because they happened to be on sale, and because I wasn't sure about gladiator sandals. I liked the look of them but just couldn't decide if it was a worthwhile investment or if they would be dated in another year.

I got my Brulees at the Clarks store. I bet they could order them for you if your size isn't in stock.

I got mine at onlineshoes.com, but they now only have one smaller size available. Most places I checked only have the 12s in green, which you already found, but here are some other options (channeling Inge, the goddess of links):

No one appears to have pewter in a 12, and several places have colors you already found, or that are represented above. The only place claiming to have any colors besides white, red, or green in your size is womensshoes.com -- let us know if you try them and how they work out for you! 12 hours on your feet is a long time...

I got mine from endless.com, but they seem to only have a couple of colors left - white and green. I originally ordered mine from Piperlime, but sent them back because I found them cheaper at endless. However, it looks like they only have a few sizes left. Good luck!

I like the red too. For myself I wanted a solid and red is not one of my usual colors, so I went with the pewter and I love them. First pair of sandals I have owned in years!

You could order two, try them, and return one...

Marianna, just wanted to give you a word of warning about the brulees. I ordered a pair last month and had to return them because they were too narrow for my wide size 10 foot. I died a little inside when I sent them back, because they're absolutely adorable and have high comfort potential for the right person. Just thought I'd share that experience in case your feet tend the same way.

Clarks make another sandal that could be an option. It's called the Lucena, and while I returned my pair because the look was too sporty for my taste or day-to-day style, it may suit you well as you go for a more casual vibe. They're definitely among the most comfortable shoes I've ever seen! They come in varying widths and do go up to a size 12. I see Zappos has a pair in your size available in the ever-popular pewter:

Hi Michelle! Thanks for the heads up about the width.... what a shame. I have wide feet too (obviously). Did the straps cut into your skin? I might stay with the Gelatos because they are super comfortable.

Hmm... the Lucena really isn't my taste. Thanks so much for the suggestion though!

I mentioned this on another thread but I saw the Brulees on sale at the B&M Clarks store (I believe they were $59.99). Not sure about availability but they will find you a pair from another store if possible and ship it to your home for free for the sale price. I found the Brulees to be too narrow in the toes so I ended up with the Tequesta. Good luck!

Shana, I took your advice and called the Clarks store... they don't have my size but they found ONE pair in pewter (yay!) in my size in a different state. They're going to see if they can get them for me.

Shana, thank you SO much for advising me to call the Clarks store! I snagged the last pair of size 12 pewter brulees and they were on sale for $59.99! Hopefully they fit!

FYI, I learned from the Clarks store that their in-store inventory is stocked and priced differently from their online store because purchases from their website come from Zappos. I was surprised to find prices in the B&M store so much lower than they were online!

MC, I'm glad I could help. I hope the Brulees work out! Just be warned - depending on where those shoes are it could take awhile to get them (so no overnight shipping like Zappos). I ordered mine in the store on July 2 and did not receive them until the 14! Apparently they were sending them from a store in CA and they ship UPS ground.
