I'm seeing a big selection of blue colors in the stores, and orangey pinks and peaches/warm blush colors, and not as many cool juicy berry tones--raspberry, deep pinks, or summery prints with same.

I found some good burgundy items this winter, and then I also I tiptoed into a few blues, blue-grays, some more teals, in winter and early spring, and kind of liked having a bit of changeup, but really the cool- red end of the spectrum is better for my coloring and I have been trying to streamline the color palette.

So I have tried to keep that in mind for my "list" and focus on the spring-summer versions of berry tones for new non-neutral items (tops, dresses or even jackets)--either new items or to replace cotton T's and such. But, I'm just not seeing as much of these colors as it seems was available in past seasons.

Not to mention, very little orchid compared to what was expected.

This could be good for my wallet, but I noticed I had to watch for a tendency to say, oh,this only comes in blue, but it's such a nice... (style, fabric).

Of course this is also great for the many fabbers who are on the lookout for ink blues and cobalts and denim and such.

What do you think--are the blues (and peaches) dominating this year, or am I just not looking in the right places?
