I'm always amazed that people can get good quality simply from standing their cameras on a counter. When I did that, the pictures were horribly blurry. And I couldn't get the angle right, but clearly I hadn't experimented properly with paper towel rolls, LOL!

I've been doing really bad artificial light bathroom mirror shots with my iPhone. LOL I should take the time to set up my "real camera" on a tripod in my living room that gets great natural light most of the day. Hmm...I think I just gave myself a project for this long holiday weekend!

I take them in my bathroom mirror. They are not fab at all & I also don't give time to how I write my posts. If I did give the writing & photographs time I wouldn't have time to be on here posting at all. Maybe one day.

My situation is a complete disaster. All my photos are mirror shots in either the ladies' at work or in my bedroom and done with the iPhone. I actually have a tripod, decent digital camera, a backdrop, and worklights. But room to set this up is zero.

I have only done a few shots that I posted because I was desperate for advice. I have taken many others but deleted. I have used the mirror in either my room or my dd's room. I actually do have a camera and a tripod....I think it might be time to try it again. Might be happier with that result.

Mine's in the living room - the camera is set either on a book case or a tripod in the corner, and I'm as far away as I can get (about 8 ft, maybe). I set my picture on the wall in the middle of the focus screen, then stand by it. It's pretty good at getting both my head and shoes in the pic.

However, there's always obstacles (kids playing, or their toys usually) that I'm working around.

Thank-you all for sharing your pic stories!
I think some of us are too hard on ourselves and miss-out on valuable feedback from others here by not actually posting all our photos, but still we can gain some insights just in the process.
Looking forward to seeing lots of WIW's from the more reluctant participants in the near future.
