My DD and SIL recently moved into a different apartment. Prior to the move, she was temporarily storing a bunch of clothes at my house. So on Sunday, I sorted them (knits, shirts, sweaters etc) and took them to her new apartment.

I also took a bunch of extra hangers with me and switched out a bunch of pieces so that everything in a category was on the same kind of hanger. We separated out the summer things and hung them in the back. Then I sorted the rest by category and color. As we went through them, we culled a few pieces. I also made some suggestions like 'you could wear this tee under this jacket, etc.' and she was excited to have some ideas that she hadn't thought of.

I also helped her see that she probably has plenty of clothes! She is a SAHM so she doesn't need work outfits and she has quite a few nice sweaters, several nice pants and jeans, and some fun toppers to change things up a bit.

Nothing like a little mom and daughter bonding time over closet organizing!
