When your mom has better style than you, and you find this adorable top in her closet: http://bit.ly/16hg43M you realize you need to ask her advice for dressing more often!
Cute top....and you look lovely in it! I would love to have a mom with better style than me....but, alas, I've had to stumble along the fashion road without guidance (sorry Mom!)--at least until I found YLF.
My mother has very good taste, although she's not into style. I gladly take her opinion any day. I raided her closet when I was 12, but alas have grown too tall.
I'm stunned when I see pictures of my mother in the outfits she wore when she was a "working girl" in the 40s and a "young wife and mother" in the 50s. She sewed all of her own clothes and wore immaculately tailored suits and dresses. Her biggest fashion frustration was to have two daughters who insisted on wearing jeans all the time.
It's interesting to see our parent's styles - my mom used to be very hip and trendy and would make her own clothes! It's funny because she gives me a hard time about my closet and how many things are in it - "I HAVEn'T SEEN THIS BEFORE IS IT NEW?!" - but my sister and I just make fun (nicely) of how much she liked fashion too!
thank you ladies for such nice comments! My mom is such a stylish lady and has a great eye for fit and fashion. She has always taught me to dress well and take pride in my appearance. Even pictures I have seen of her from "way back when" are equally as well dressed.
