When to unzip zippered jeans?

The zippered skinny jeans Angie featured in her blog today look pretty awesome, especially unzipped. I noticed that she wore them unzipped with heels. Do you think that the unzipped look works only if you wear heels? Can it work with flats? How low of a heel?

I think this is a personal preference. I don't really care for the zipper being unzipped more than an inch or two. I like it best when it's unzipped to just above the foot. More than that and it looks sloppy to me. I also prefer them with flats, unzipped just the way I described.

But obviously Angie likes them unzipped more, and she is Angie, so her preference probably has more weight than mine does.

I was wondering the same thing, Cathy. I don't wear heels but would love a pair of zippered jeans. I think it could work, as long as the zipper isn't unzipped all the way and you're not stepping on the pant!

I wore my zippered jeans unzipped with FLATS yesterday. Loved it as much as with heels.

I like to show off a hint of ankle bone because I like my ankle bones! So I unzip so that you can see just that much. But it’s all academic really. Whatever floats your boat.

I prefer them unzipped because that’s sort of the point of the jeans. But boot season is lurking so they’ll double duty zipped up with boots too.
