When to start wearing white jeans ?

I recently read an interview with Lloyd Boston, where he stated he advocates wearing white jeans year round. I can' t imagine this ! I had never worn white jeans until last summer ( with great encouragement from YLFers). I only wore them twice, but I loved it. I am dying to start this year - but we had snow today.

I'm a southern girl and there's no way I'm wearing white in the middle of winter (except for winter white).

I'll live wild and pull them out in April, though:) I love them too much to limit them to summer, besides it's too hot then.

If they make you happy, I say wear them whenever you want. So there:)

I still do not have white jeans <sob> but if I did I would start wear them as soon as I move out of my winter coat and into spring-weight trench and jackets!

I bought mine in the middle of winter 2 years back! The BF tried to argue the white in winter bit (he's a southern boy) but I was having none of it. I even pointed out all the other gals in the grocery store in white jeans in December while there was snow on the ground (this was back in Tahoe) to prove my point

I think it depends where you live and how you style. I haven't done it, but I think what Lloyd Boston likely had in mind was something like white skinny jeans tucked into knee high boots with a cozy sweater - if I ever find boots I think might work I would perhaps give that a shot! However, in the meantime I am dying to pull mine out but the weather here in Seattle is wet and windy so I will wait until we get above 60 degrees and the sun comes out. Otherwise I am just afraid they will get dirty from the puddles on my walk to work! But now you have me thinking that maybe I could tuck mine into my new Cognac boots with a Spring sweater...

I love white jeans, I can't wait to start wearing mine again once the weather warms up. I used to think you could only wear white after Memorial Day and up until Labor day, some outworn old wives tale, I suppose.

as soon as rainy season ends here in the north east! i will be pullin mine out! i dont follow the old rule of memorial to labor day....if it is a late march or early april day, no puddles, and over 65, i am wearin em like it or not...lol

Probably not til May, it's still far too cold and full of wet weather to think of lighter colors.

Where I live (near Boston) I don't think people could get away with year-round white jeans. Not only for the snow factor, but for the mucky mud/rain season immediately following in March and April. White jeans would quickly become soul sucking beige jeans. I'm planning to resurrect mine in May or June, but only when the temperature gets above 70. Anytime before that just doesn't feel right.
